It's a win for Vance regardless if Trump wins or loses the election.

If Trump wins, he's the VP and in position for a run in 2028 if not being sworn in as President before then...which is very likely.
If Trump loses, he's cemented his position within the MAGAt party and solidified his Senate seat plus can write another bestselling book for $$$.

He was playing to an audience of one when he repeated Trump's lies.

In Vance's favor, notice how he dodged certain questions such as voting to certify the election if Trump lost and whether Trump lost the election in 2020.

I do think the "talked about" moment will be Vance's answer to the question about the 2020 election.

He obviously couldn't, because Trump would freak out if he said that Biden won. But that moment might trump (no pun intended) Vance's overall better performance.

Vance's dodging of questions about 1/6 and the 2020 election, plus whether he'd certify the 2024 election if Trump lost were key weaknesses in Vance's performance.

Overall, he did a good job and sounded almost like a Democrat in his support for multiple socialist programs. LOL
