These TV shows are not 'debates', they're just lists of the same talking points the candidates parrot every day repeatedly. Calling them 'debates' is just blatant ignorance on display.

Well then, let’s just call them ‘two people standing in a stage and talking’. Better? Changing the name does not change the impact. They are the largest audience that the candidates will appear before and an opportunity to deliver a message. Calling them debates is no different than naming our fall gridiron sport ‘football’. That’s the accepted term so of course people will use it. You are half as clever as you think you are, and at the end of the day the best response to your post is ‘so what?’ Try having a point next time.

The point is only morons will waste minutes of their lives watching candidates parrot lines everybody has already heard a zillion times before, and calling that a 'debate' is merely inane, but in your case obviously you waste most of your time anyway doing nothing useful so no loss for you and your peers. Try having a point next time, as challenging as that is for you. You might even make an effort to find out what real debates are instead of sniveling.
