Agreed. While we've all felt the presence of bigots and other assorted assholes, no matter how slight, there should be no question that the major portion of racism in America is Euros against Africans by sheer numbers.

Technically speaking white people can be victims of racism. There have been times when minorities have said "i'm going to go out and fvck up some white boys" and done so. And one could pick out instances that AA has prevented some white people from advancing at certain times. But on the whole yes, white people experience far less racism than other groups in this country. That's just a fact.

There's also a lot of nuance within this argument. One can openly acknowledge that racism exists in this country but not be on board with say Ibram Kendi and his beliefs. And an incident like this one in Brazil is easy for us to all comprehend what's happening. But something more nuanced like the claim that many of our institutions of higher learning (especially our elite ones) are baked in systemic racism and create hostile and racist environments on campus. We know Universities generally tend not to be run by uneducated trailer park dwellers yet how do they foster such an environment?

That's a totally different discussion of course but a lot to unpack when discussing racism in the country.

OK. Brazil is a more racially mixed country than the US, so it may have been a 'class' issue, rather than a 'racial' issue. Sometimes it's easy to get the two confused. (Don't know much about it, just looking for clarification)
