Speaking as an actual Ethnic Nationalist, most of us don't hate people of other races, I certainly don't. We just know that societies function a lot better with less minorities.

I assume it has to do with immigrants that tend to come from countries that end up being welfare dependent. I know that's what he's trying to crack down on.
I suspect professional basket weavers with families generally get on Medicaid, SNAP, and subsidized housing so they suck off the system more than contribute. That's my guess.

But we're not talking about letting in the governments, we're talking about the people. It seems like he's saying he doesn't want to let in black and brown people, because they'll drag the country towards shitholedom.

I'm sure there are statistics showing percentage of immigrants from individual countries that end up on welfare.
E.g., I live in Anchorage, one of the most diverse cities in America with lots of 1st gen. immigrants.
I've seen a fair number of patients from Africa and the M.E. I don't think I've ever seen one African that wasn't on Medicaid and I can think of only one from the M.E. that had private insurance. He is an engineer and is fluent in English.
I will say this... the Africans generally are very nice, friendly folks , but it depends on what country they're from. There's definitely different cultures. The Somalis are difficult, especially the men, but not all of course.

Well we don't know exactly which countries Trump was talking about. Giving him the benefit of the doubt, maybe he was only talking about certain African countries, not all of them.
But if all of the black African countries are third world countries, it certainly seems more than likely that he wants to keep out Blacks, possibly for the reasons you just gave.
I think most of his supporters, including the ones here, like that Trump wants to keep out non-white immigrants, but don't want to admit it.

I know. Federal and muni. Big military prescience , lots of drunk natives with chronic health problems getting free health care and uneducated Anchorage muni employees living high on the hog.
We also have a ton of refugees from Laos, middle east, and Africa here.
I'm not sure what you're point is in bringing that up in a thread about immigration except for our refugees.

Well, that was quite an oversimplification that simultaneously failed to acknowledge a difference between legal and illegal immigrants. You also managed to miss the point. I want every American to have every opportunity to be successful. If individual Americans don't become successful, that is unfortunate. But they shouldn't have to compete for jobs with people who shouldn't be here in the first place.
And again, you refuse to acknowledge that Trump was referring to SOME illegal immigrants.
No law says they must embrace our culture and values. However, there are lots of places in the world with values that don't mesh with ours. I, as an individual, don't want people from such places to come here unless they want to embrace our culture and more importantly, values.
Baloney, it's not hatred. I hold the same contempt for American citizens who are able to work but choose not to as I do for people who want to come here illegally and live off of the taxpayers.
This last comment was just sad. I'm glad you love America, but you then launched into a vicious attack on a poor, defenseless straw man to slime Trump. And the claim that "Russia helped Trump get elected" has been thoroughly debunked.

I have worked with quite a few people who came here legally. Not surprisingly, many of them expressed outrage that some people could simply sneak in when they had to pay fees and jump through hoops to stay here.

That is your observation, mine is pretty much the opposite.. Many parts of Africa, almost zero welfare services, ME some, less than Americans, Indians & Filipino almost no welfare either..
There is a lot of Chinese.. Although I never hear anyone here talk about that, they are like 20% of those coming in & they usually stay as they hire a lawyer..
They use services, mostly WIC but work under the table to keep reported income low..
How are the ppl from Laos doing?? Are they Lao or something else?? Hmong, lo mien, Akah etc??

Hmong. There's a Hmong diaspora throughout SE Asia. Apparently they supported the U.S. during the Vietnam War and they're still oppressed. I think they get a free pass to the U.S. I've seen a few Laotians but lots of Hmong here. They seem to have a big Hmong population in Minnesota and around Sacramento too.
Yes, there are many here & they are the biggest ethnic group (there are around 100 ethnic groups recognized in Laos) inside Laos, besides the Lao themselves... Reagan made them & those fleeing Vietnam as some kind of special type so entire families/clans have come.. Our Mayor in Elk Grove is Hmong..
So they are not doing to well there??

They're fine, don't cause trouble but mostly poor. Many speak no English, the kids do of course. Probably same as there.
