the wage gape is a myth, at least in the sense that for the same hours and the same jobs, women make the same as men. That stat you are citing is an overall stat that doesn't take into account hours worked or actual careers.

You are citing a bogus statistic. Think about it logically. If a business could get the same amount of work and save $0.23 in a labor costs, there would be ZERO men hired. You actually think that businesses today say "You know, I can get the same work out of a woman that I can out of a man, but I am going to pay the man more"? You are an idiot if you think that.

Lastly, the stat is bogus because it is just an average that leaves out lots of factors.

1) The fact that women are more likely to work part time
2) The fact that women are more likely to leave the work force for a period of time to raise a family
