First, I don't believe it is a minority in the US. Second, a minority fought for independence from a King, and won. Third, popularity of a position doesn't make it right.

No insult intended; I simply commented on the approach of your argument. Now you've decided to become insultive; but equal means the right to do equal things.
Not just how equality is defined by a narrow vision.

It could be, but it ain't.Thanks for admitting that your position could be wrong.
You mistake resolve for fear, nor is it only breeders with this position. No lie, but a defining issue for true Conservatism.
Except this one has been refined thought the centuries and proven its worth.sm, just like majorities aren't always right, traditions aren't always right either.
Because traditional marriage is the backbone of the family unit as far back as biblical times, refined to one man and one woman through centuries of trial and error. The union of one man and one woman has always met the traditional definition but queer marriage has never met it. Queer marriage is a massive step backwards and sideways.

Again, it affects the institution.
True conservatives on every issue are a small group. So were the Founders, and they influenced many.Maybe in the narrow group you associate with; but not as great as you believe it is.
Add it to your marriage and report back to me.Bullshit! It adds another dimension to the institution of marriage, but it does not take anything away from marriage.
Except this one has been refined thought the centuries and proven its worth.
What part of "refined" is hard for you to understand?
I'd say the sex of the partners is a big damn deal.
Each State has its own definition.Traditional marriage defined by whom, or by what organization??
That they can. But if they can do all this what value does the 'institution' of marriage provide, if all the 'benefits' exist outside the institution as well.
Exactly. Those institutions have been refined out.You mean like slavery and not allowing inter-racial marriages?
