Why homosexuality should be banned

nope....because you would also be insisting that it's "breakfast" at 3:00 pm even if you ate a hamburger.....

you miss the point.....you can eat whatever you want whenever you want it....you can even call it whatever you want.....just don't expect the rest of the world to change because you choose to do so.....you want "most people" to do what you've decided you want them to do.....they weren't forcing you to eat eggs in the morning, you were free to do it whenever you wanted.....we should be free to laugh at you if you say "I ate eggs this morning" when you ate them at 3pm......you want us to nod our heads and say "yes, you ate them this morning" even though you didn't.......

If someone is missing the point it is you.

They are not doing this so people will look at them and say "Oh look, a married couple". They are demanding that they no longer be excluded from benefits and refusing to be second class citizens.

Perhaps you can answer the question that seems to be a stumper.

What will change in your marriage if gays are alowed to marry?

Oddly, they are quite capable of qualifying for them. They can lie about who they love and they can get married.

again, that's their choice....however that is one that doesn't require society to redefine things......and let's be honest....this has nothing to do with love....it's only about money......if you want to give gay couples money pass a law that says two men living together can have the same tax deductions that married people do.....that doesn't require changing any definitions.....

that wasn't our society......if you want to change that, invent time travel....

Things change as time goes on. At one time polygamy was legal in ome parts of the country. At one time interracial marriage was illegal. At one time wives had no rights at all. At one time daughters could be forced into arranged marriages.

And sometime in the future they will say "At one time gay marriage was illegal".

they are demanding that society accept their relationship as the equivalent of a marriage between a man and a woman.....why should we have to accept their choices....it should only be necessary that they accept their choices.....leave the rest of us out of it.....

Ok, then have laws passed that remove all the benefits and priviledges the gov't gives married people. No tax benefits, no ability to refuse to testify, none of the myriad of other benefits.

YOu make it sound as though something will actually change if they are allowed to marry. They are in long term relationships now. The only difference will be what benefits they receive for making a commitment.

d'uh....I'm a conservative....I work to prevent changes which cause a deterioration of society.....you're a liberal, you work to promote changes which cause a deterioration of society....it's what we are.....

I notice several other conservatives are backing the same side I am.

Does this mean you won't answer the question and tell us what will change in your marriage if gays are allowed to marry?

Because the government gives benefits and priviledges to married people. To deny that to them goes against what this nation stands for.

I don't get money available for child care....I don't get money for college tuition......I don't get money available for minorities starting a small business.....the government has lots of programs available only to certain people.....does denying those things to the rest of us "go against what this nation stands for"?.......

I do not know why you would not get money for child care. If the monies are available because of minority status, yes it does go against what this nation stands for.

why stop there....let's eliminate taxes all together.....

look, something WILL change.......they are in a long term relationship now....nobody needs to tell them they are....but don't try to tell me that I have to say that's "marriage"......I won't accept that.....
