The simple truth is that some officers are very good at motivating the troops and some are not so good at it. The issue might be their ability to motivate, but not their sexual orientation.

As for the troops feeling it isn't morally right, would they follow a officer who is muslim? What about the christians who feel pagan religions are immoral? Should we ban pagans from being in the military as well?
