Why Is Communism Still a Respected Ideology?

It's a necessity since you can't get most, almost any, people to voluntarily act altruistically all of the time. Collectivism requires this. People are not ants and will not act like ants. Thus, the Marxists running the show in a Communist state have to resort to application of force and continuous surveillance to ensure the population is doing 'the right thing.' Of course, the leaders not being any more willing than their subjects to be altruistic, immediately give themselves a greater share of the wealth and live comfortable lives even as their subjects suffer in deprivation, poverty, and want.



Instead of altruism, people become lazy, indolent, and slothful under Socialism and Marxism. Why try hard, work hard, or be creative when it will only be taken away from you? You get the same amount doing little or nothing.

Not a Communist, but support a mixed economy.

Still, I think Communism is better than Libertarianism.

Also, the benefits of Capitalism are exaggerated.

Take Russia it's now in a lot worse shape than it was before the Soviet Communism collapsed.
