I agree a president's policies can have a significant impact on the economy. However, Obama's policies were essentially the same as Bush's (even extending the tax cut he criticized) and Trump has not made that many changes. While the economy is very good unemployment went from 10% to 5% under Obama and 5% to 3.9% under Trump.
The Dow Jones went up 149% under Obama and 35% under Trump. 17.2 million jobs were created under Obama and 3.2 million under Trump.

Obviously, we are comparing 2 years v. 8 years, but my point is that the economy has continued a slow steady recovery under Obama and Trump.

It will be hard for Trump to continue to improve because unemployment and job growth can't get much better since there are already more jobs than there are unemployed people. That economy would have continued to make the same improvements regardless of the president (absent major changes).

Lets get the data correct; the stock market did not increase 149% under Obama. October 9, 2007, the Dow hit its pre-recession high and closed at 14,164.43. This is the point you need to achieve just to get back to where it was before the crash. BY Trumps inauguration the market hit 19,827.25.

That's an increase of 5662.82. An increase of 40%, not 149%. Trump has seen an almost 33% increase in less than two years. Quite a record.

Obama isn't responsible for the stock market before he took office. On inauguration day the Dow was 7,949. When he left office it was 19,827. That is an 11,878 point gain which is 149%.

If you're going to give him credit when it goes up but blame Trump otherwise, you lose credibility altogether. That's if you ever had any based on what you supported.
 
For many reasons....But the main one is to restore checks and balances to our governmental system.

We have a man in the presidency that is out of control. He has demeaned the office and embarrassed this country. Rather than meet the purpose of checking the presidents powers....this Repubs congress has bowed to his every whim.

They have watched him practically kiss our greatest foreign adversary. They have watched him lie on a daily basis. They have watched him accused of participating in two felonies. They have watched him systematically attack the free media...the judiciary....and our intelligence agencies.....THEY HAVE DONE NOTHING! The GOP is broken and needs to be replaced.
