why the people must be allowed the weapons and training without legal interference

Bullshit.
No one was going to defend Koresh.
Try again "Jack".

It's NOT about 'defending Koresh'. It's about defending American Citizens being attacked by Military Hardware used by the very Government they pay.

"Today marks the twenty-fifth anniversary of a massive police operation in Philadelphia that culminated in the helicopter bombing of the headquarters of a radical group known as MOVE. The fire from the attack killed six adults and five children and destroyed sixty-five homes. Despite two grand jury investigations and a commission finding that top officials were grossly negligent, no one from city government was criminally charged. MOVE was a Philadelphia-based radical movement that was dedicated to black liberation and a back-to-nature lifestyle. It was founded by John Africa, and all its members took on the surname Africa. We hear from Mumia Abu-Jamal and speak with Ramona Africa, the only adult survivor of the bombing."

Do you notice the words "helicopter bombing"?

Fast Forward to Waco. Battle Tanks and Helicopter Gunships used against American Citizens. Notice a pattern?

Unlike what another Poster mentioned of 'Republican round-ups' or 'Democratic round-ups', it's going to happen to 'out-of-favor' groups, ... like the aforementioned "Black Nationalists' and 'Religious Cults'.
Then, it will become more frequent, more common, more acceptable.

The problem is what you call an assault rifle isn't but you do so because it looks scary to you.

If you call an AR-15 an assault rifle, and I hope you don't think AR stands for that, what would you call a Ruger Mini 14 Ranch Rifle? To help you out, I posted a picture of it.

Police have had helicopters for decades.
When a man has grandchildren by his daughters I don't care how the govco takes him out.

That's what is nice about Political Forums, we all get to express our opinions.

WTF are you talking about?
Tim McVeigh and David Koresh are not heroes in my book.

Maybe they are in yours?

again, you ignore the issue. it's not about who is being defended, it's about restricting the government within the confines of the law and the constitution. YOU said you don't care what the government does to people like koresh, so you are saying FUCK THE CONSTITUTION

Only if you can show how govco fucked the Constitution.
So far you have not.

the only thing that's delusional is the moron who believes that the federal government would use fighters and bombers on it's own people. political suicide because it would only cause people to side with the rebellion.

I agree, Trump wouldn't use fighters and bombers. Tanks maybe. But before then he would be in a straitjacket.

the government used tanks and helicopter gunships on the compound, and though you detest koresh and don't care what methods the government uses to get people like that, it violates posse comitatus and they fucked the constitution by resorting to a violent siege and standoff for a budget show instead of arresting koresh in town, peacefully, like was proven that they could have.

Still not a violation unless the operators were active duty military.

"... for a budget show instead of arresting koresh in town, peacefully, like was proven that they could have."

Well put. That is the understanding I have, this ATF bureaucracy was up for a Budget renewal and they wanted to put on a Big Show so they could get more money.

I went to Waco years ago with my wife. It was outside of town and I had to stop a few times to get directions. It was hard to find, there's no signs or anything to indicate the location. I'm driving down Double EE Road and I flag this guy down in a pick-up truck. I ask him for directions, and he starts telling me his view. He tells me "Every morning, David Koresh would run down this road." "If they wanted to pick him up, they could have easily done it." He pointed over to this building on the side of the road (it was like a small barn, a dilapidated building) and said the ATF had been in there. He said the Government had used metal detectors to remove all traces of what happened. He pointed down the road and said I wasn't far away. I told him "Thanks" and went down the road and found the place on the right side of the road.

They had a little church there (closed but did have a small 'mailbox' for donations) and some Trailers in the distance. I walked around, not much there, but did see a 'Memorial' towards the entrance. I walked up and saw a bunch (80?) of 9X9 cubes of stone with names, even names of babies still in their mother's womb. To the side, it said the Texarkana Militia set up the Memorial.

I'm not religious. I never Pray. ... but I got on my knees, put my hands to the earth, and prayed for these people.
I also made a mental note to send a hundred dollars to the Texarkana Militia, which I don't think I ever did.

""April 19 continues to haunt a lot of people," said Dan Powell, leader of the Northeast Texas Regional Militia of Texarkana. "What happened in Waco was a domestic act of terrorism that has never been prosecuted."
His group raised nearly $1,000 to buy a large granite monument for the site. The plaque lists the names of 82 people who died, including six killed in the initial raid in February 1993 and two unborn children whose mothers died in the fire."

I just looked this up. Maybe I can send that hundred?

"No man has a greater regard for the military gentlemen than I have. I admire their intrepidity, perseverance, and valour. But when once a standing army is established, in any country, the people lose their liberty. When against a regular and disciplined army, yeomanry are the only defence — yeomanry, unskillful & unarmed, what chance is there for preserving freedom? Give me leave to recur to the page of history, to warn you of your present danger. Recollect the history of most nations of the world. What havock, desolation, and destruction, have been perpetrated by standing armies? An instance within the memory of some of this house, — will shew us how our militia may be destroyed. Forty years ago, when the resolution of enslaving America was formed in Great Britain, the British parliament was advised by an artful man, [Sir William Keith] who was governor of Pennsylvania, to disarm the people. That it was the best and most effectual way to enslave them. But that they should not do it openly; but to weaken them and let them sink gradually, by totally difusing and neglecting the militia. [Here MR. MASON quoted sundry passages to this effect.] This was a most iniquitous project. Why should we not provide against the danger of having our militia, our real and natural strength, destroyed?"
-June 14, 1788 addressing the Virginia Ratifying Convention

Why are you currently being ruled by a tyrannical, lying fart then?

Nice screed, fairly well written.
Too bad you ruined it with your idiotic bullshit about the left being fascists.
Just like that idiot, noise.
Read a dictionary you twits.

:lolup:Moron doesn't think the Democratic Party of the Jackass wants to rescind gun rights or is Fascist. :rofl2:
