I had a serious health issue; and my insurance never delayed in paying anything and my out-of-pocket was minimal. Even after what was over a hundred thousand dollar surgery.

They might want to verify that someone could/would pay before treating them. Who wants to be delayed by a credit check when you are having a timely health issue that needs *immediate* attention?

The last 30 years has taught us, the only sure thing about healthcare is your premiums will go up and your coverage will get worse. You will have more and bigger copays and have more hoops to jump through to get the coverage you have paid for. Theses are characteristics of a for profit system.Their profits go up when they can deny your treatment.

I don’t defend how we pay for healthcare in this country. I have already outlined the fix numerous times. If you want to know then I suggest you search the site. If you don’t know how have a five year old explain it to you.

I have no desire to explain complex economics to a financial illiterate.

PS

Obamacare was not designed to work in the sense that it was built to provide cost effective care for the most people. It was designed to collapse the existing system and be a bridge to single payer.
