Governor Huckabee met with the parole board to discuss the sentence commute issue...Governor Huckabee again refused to consider this...and said he would support a supervised Parole based on the information supplied...
Note:A Governor has no power to parole anyone...he can pardon or commute the sentence...he refused on both counts!


End of story...this is a witch hunt for political reasons...and to be quite frank this borders on slander!

Abolishing the parole system for all or most violent offenses would mean that about 20% of prisoners would be ineligible for parole, BB. The real criminals aren't usually the ones that get the longest sentences. In states like Michigan, for instance, people go to jail longer for posessing too much drugs than for rape 1.
