If Trayvon tried to avoid confrontation, why didn't he just go right home?
That about says it all, don't it.

Martin is the victim.
hes is the one who wanted nothing to do with Zimmerman and his gun
This is why many police an prosecutors were against this law that was promoted and signed by Jeb Bush.
Therefore it is legal to stalk strangers at night. Gotcha! And the one being followed should not be scared or worried at all. Right(note sarcasm)!!!!

Did you know that according to the federal use of force continuum, a punch in the nose is considered deadly force? The federal use of force continuum is followed by almost every police force in the USA, and many around the world. I should know, I used to teach it to them. I have sustained a couple of bloody noses during law enforcement operations, but I had other resources to rely on, i.e. a partner, an expandable baton and pepper spray. Besides, it was a hell of a lot of fun to testify against those dirt bags for assault on a federal law enforcement officer. GZ is an idiot who's biggest mistake was carrying the gun in the first place and the 2nd biggest mistake was getting out of that truck. The neighborhood watch observes and reports, that's it. They don't investigate or carry out inquiries. So like I said, he's an idiot, but not a murderer.Under the circumstances he was obligated to attempt to escape. Florida statute 776.041.
You can only use deadly force if you have a reasonable belief that you are in imminent danger of death or great bodily harm. To me, that means you can only use deadly force to meet potentially deadly force.

the judge, if they follow their previous precedent of tyranny, will explain the law to the jury, including definitions of how those terms apply.Where is the case law? The jury is going to consider the statue only unless otherwise instructed.
more conjecture and conclusion that is just not warranted. stop getting all pissy because I know the law better than you do.Having read enough of STY's post, who does he think he is fooling, anyone following him will be shot, dead.
That's a pretty good point, it's something I wondered about since this whole thing started. GZ studied criminal justice right? He should've known that one of the first things that a cop does (and this should translate to the neighborhood watch) is identify himself. I have never heard whether or not he identified himself as the neighborhood watch. If he did, that puts the ball in TM's court. At this point he has a few different options: 1. He can say, "good evening, Mr. neighborhood watch! I am returning to my mother's house with this can of ice tea and this package of skittles" 2. TM becomes enraged at the culmination of 400 years of oppression at the hands of the neighborhood watch, and decides to fight the power. 3. He can run.He was stopped on his way home, dunderhead.
Did TM have the right to confront his follower, yes or no?
The federal, or military, definition of deadly force: That force which a person uses for the purpose of causing - or which he knows or should reasonably know, would create substantial risk of causing - death or serious bodily harm. Murderer, manslaughterer, batterer. Whatever. What are the elements of those crimes? Those are all lesser included charges, you know.Cite? The law says what it says.
I don't think they have proven murder and I always doubted it.

We now know that Travon Martin evidently chose option number two. We can only speculate that if he would've chosen option number one, Zimmerman gets back into his truck and returns to his duties as the self-appointed neighborhood watchman. And if he would've chosen option number three, Zimmerman should have gotten back into his truck and reported to the police that his suspicious character had taken off. I could be wrong but I do find it a bit difficult to believe that Zimmerman did not identify himself at all, of course he IS an idiot, and he did plenty of other stupid stuff.
