In each of the past three months, the payrolls number has come in higher than the highest Wall Street estimate. This is statistically impossible unless the number is manipulated.
Let's say that it is completely random. 50/50 chance of being above or below, for three times. The odds of it being above three times in a row are one in eight, so very possible.
But it is not completely random. There are systemic mistakes in Wall Street's estimate, which will tend to make runs of overestimating and underestimating. So it is much more possible.
