Great American Insurrection Suspect Flees to Belarus To Evade Arrest

What the patriot:

"Neumann, 48, of Mill Valley, Calif., told the country's state-controlled media that his lawyer had recommended he flee to Europe, adding that the charges against him were "unfounded," according to Buzzfeed.

The big picture: Belarus does not have an extradition treaty with the United States, Buzzfeed noted. The Belarusian border guard detained Neumann in August. It is not yet clear if he will be returned to the U.S.

Before Neumann fled, prosecutors asked a judge to unseal the case, saying the government has reason to believe that he "is already aware he is being investigated... and is actively attempting to evade arrest."

Neumann managed to evade authorities by flying to Europe “under the guise of a business trip,” per Buzzfeed."

Jesus, what a fucking moron. He’ll be back in 10-15 years and then start his 5-10 year sentence. LOL

He should have gone to Switzerland like Marc Rich did. Then he could have someone donate $100,000 to the DNC and get Biden to pardon him like Marc Rich got Clinton to do...

But then again, Marc Rich was a white collar criminal that made billions illegally...

Only Trump would pardon a terrorists like Neumann.

This idiot fucked himself by beating up police and attacking the Capitol on 1/6. Now he's fucking up again by running from the law and hiding out in a Third World Shithole dictatorship led by a former Commie Cocksucker.

He'll be back within 10 years, maybe even five, to face justice and start his 5-15 year prison sentence.

Who is Alexander Lukashenko?

Lukashenko, 66, held posts in the Soviet Army and the communist youth organization and party when Belarus was part of the Soviet Union. He was elected to parliament in the Belarusian Soviet Socialist Republic in 1990 and was the only deputy to oppose an agreement that led to the dissolution of the Soviet Union.

He became the first president of the Republic of Belarus in 1994. His official website describes him as “a people’s politician” and “president of the ordinary people.” But his nearly three-decade rule has been marked by electoral irregularities, human rights abuses and moves to consolidate power.

Hello Dutch,

It appears that Lukashenko has his hands full at the moment.

Belarus migrants: EU accuses Lukashenko of gangster-style abuse

I don't think Lukashenko is going to be very welcoming to an American who thinks HE might be treated unfairly by the American government.

I wonder if Neumann has been caught up in the border mess over there? He probably has no visa to be in Belarus. Does he speak Belarusian?

"At least 2,000 migrants are now at the Belarus border with Poland.

"Upon arrival they are being pushed to the border and forced to make an illegal entry into the European Union," said Commission spokesman Peter Stano.

Belarus's leader Alexander Lukashenko denies orchestrating the problem.

EU and Nato members Poland, Lithuania and Latvia have all seen a surge in the number of people trying to enter their countries illegally from Belarus in recent months. Many are young men but they include women and children, largely from the Middle East and Asia.

Poland has seen the most arrivals, especially around its major border crossing at Kuznica.

Migrants have described how Belarusian authorities seized their phones and pushed them towards the border fence. Overnight temperatures at the border have slumped below zero and several people have already died in recent weeks. "

Hardly... Bill Clinton pardoned and commuted the sentences of a number of radical Leftist terrorists while in office. Obama let most of the terrorists in Gitmo go home where they resumed their terrorist activities...

So, Trump would hardly be alone in "pardoning terrorists."

It's funny they way you try to rewrite history.
Guantanamo at one point held 779 prisoners. 9 died there. After Obama released 161 it was down to just 61 prisoners held there in 2016. What happened to the other 548 prisoners? They were released by GWBush.

In 2008, the Pentagon claimed 61 of those released may have returned to the battlefield.
Pentagon spokesman Geoff Morrell said 18 former detainees are confirmed as “returning to the fight” and 43 are suspected of having done in a report issued late in December by the Defense Intelligence Agency.

I wonder when Obama took office? Was it in 2005? Or was it in 2009?

Okay, toss Bush in there too. It doesn't invalidate my original point which refutes the idea that Trump would be somehow unique and singular in pardoning a "terrorist."

Clinton didn't pardon any terrorists. Your own statement says he commuted their sentences, which occurred after they had spent almost 20 years in prison, for convictions for a crime where the normal sentence is 5-10 years.
Obama didn't pardon anyone held in Guantanamo since they were never indicted for any crimes. The decision for transfer was actually made by a military tribunal and approved by Obama. The same thing under Bush.

Trump's pardon of a terrorist would be unique since he would be the only one issuing an actual pardon.

Do you approve or disapprove of pardoning terrorists? I strongly disapprove and always have. Why should the actions of Clinton absolve Trump or vice versa?

I fail to see why people are against one lying, adulterous sexual predator who abused his office justify the actions of another lying, adulterous sexual predator who abused his office. It's dishonest. It's hypocritical.

Why this idiot picked Belarus is a mystery. Ostensibly it's due to extradition treaties. In all the world, only fucking Belarus doesn't have a treaty for felonious assault? I doubt it. Maybe he has distant family living there or it's where his Russian handler is located. Who knows? IDK.

Susan Lisa Rosenberg. She was a terrorist and Clinton pardoned her. Rosenberg was part of the radical, Leftist revolutionary terrorist group May 19th Communist Organization (“M19CO”).

Like I said, Switzerland is a good pick. They don't do extradition treaties so as long as you behave there you can't be extradited. But it is expensive and Belarus isn't...

They don't. I pointed out to the first post I replied to, and since to several others, that Trump wouldn't be the only president to pardon a terrorist contrary to their assertions. That was my point. The other posters wanted to pillory Trump alone, while I pointed out that other Presidents--presumably ones they had some degree of liking for--did the same thing they were attacking Trump over.

TDS is a bitch. It blinds you with political myopia.

He had it made in the USA. All he had to do was enjoy life. But no. He had to go stick his butt into the most secure election in our history and try to overturn it by attacking the US capitol and punching a Capitol Police Officer.

Now he's a fugitive on the run in a very foreign country, Belarus. And the government there has him in their clutches.

I don't think he is going to enjoy life as a fugitive in Belarus more than what he had in America.

If he thought his life sucked in America because Joe Biden won the presidency, and that what he has now would be better?

He's got another thing coming.

And what the patriot. :chicken:

Way to stand up for what he believes in.

What a piece of work he is.

I wonder if he will try to VOTE BY MAIL in the next election?

:rofl2:

You might want to read the story before you make shit up. Rosenberg was granted clemency for her conviction of possessing weapons and explosives. She was not given a pardon. She was not convicted of terrorism.

Let me repeat this for you in big letters since you seem to have reading issues.

Rosenberg was granted clemency. She was NOT pardoned.

If anything, shouldn't you be protesting her conviction for having weapons since she has a right to do so under the second amendment?

Insurrectionist Goes 'One Toke Over The Line'

"A judge has denied the travel plans of a Capitol rioter who smoked marijuana in the rotunda on Jan. 6, writing that the defendant’s request to go overseas for the holidays before his sentencing in early January was “one toke over the line.”

Eduardo Nicolas Alvear Gonzalez, known online as the “Capitol Rotunda Doobie Smoker,” pleaded guilty to one misdemeanor count of parading, demonstrating, or picketing inside the Capitol in September. In his statement of offense, Gonzalez admitted that he “smoked marijuana in the Rotunda and distributed marijuana to other individuals unlawfully inside the Capitol building.”

...

“Defendant Eduardo Nicolas Alvear Gonzalez has pled guilty to unlawfully parading inside the Capitol building on January 6, 2021. While there, Gonzalez recorded himself smoking marijuana and sharing it with others. He is awaiting sentencing subject to certain conditions of release, including that he not travel internationally,” Cooper wrote. “Appreciating Defendant’s desire to broaden his horizons but finding the request one toke over the line, the Court hereby DENIES the motion.”

Gonzalez is scheduled to be sentenced on Jan. 5, just shy of the one-year anniversary of the Capitol attack. The federal government has not yet said what sentence it will seek in the case, but other Capitol defendants who pleaded guilty to the same charge have received sentences ranging from probation to 60 days of incarceration in the case of a defendant who ― citing her white skin and blond hair ― tweeted that she was “definitely not going to prison.”"

Trump thinks rather highly of himself, too.

Like I said, Switzerland is a good pick. They don't do extradition treaties so as long as you behave there you can't be extradited. But it is expensive and Belarus isn't...
Is it better to be free and broke in Switzerland or live modestly sucking cock in Belarus?

He's an idiotic American. WTF does that 48 year old loser have to offer? Being white, fat and stupid? I hope the Biden administration doesn't spend any money fighting this. Just let'em have'em. Eventually either the Belarusians or Neuman will get tired of the other.

AFAIK, all statute of limitations stop in a continuing conspiracy to evade justice.
