Two off-duty Florida law-enforcement officers fatally shot an armed, naked woman who confronted them at a social gathering Saturday, authorities said.


The shooting occurred Saturday in Hernando County, north of Tampa.


The county sheriff's office said in a news release that the men were approached by an "armed, naked and irrational female."


The news release does not identify the weapon, but it says "one or both of the law enforcement officers fired their weapons, striking the female."


She died at the scene.

A man found dead at the property where five members of a Southern California family were shot — two fatally — was wearing body armor, clutching a handgun and had a bullet hole in his head, authorities said Sunday.



The loaded handgun was a .38 caliber revolver registered to 55-year-old Desmond John Moses, who lived in a bungalow set ablaze before the deadly shooting spree at his neighbor's house in Inglewood, said Police Lt. James Madia.



The body, burned beyond recognition, was found inside the bungalow late Saturday and an autopsy will determine whether it is Moses.

A 9-year-old Pennsylvania girl was shot by a relative who mistook her for a skunk during a Halloween party.


Police say the girl was wearing a black outfit and a black hat with a white tassel attached to it when a relative shot her with a shotgun...

When I was growing up; every start of winter, all the farmers would get together and eliminate as many coyotes that they could.
They would work as teams and use snow mobiles and trucks to herd them into prearranged areas.
During the summer, we could get $1 per ear, from the State.

Yvonne Beamon and her family had to burry their one and a half year old shih tzu mix, Cookie, in the back yard after he was shot in the head with a 30-06, a rifle that's typically used for deer hunting.
