A day after Bucks County District Attorney David Heckler issued his decision that Marino’s June 9 death as a result of a single shot fired by Mumbauer was justified, Perkasie Borough Police Department Chief Joseph Gura said he could not respond at this time to the DA’s report because of pending legal issues, but said reviews of the shooting now move to the next phase. “Now I start an investigation to see if there’s any violation of our general orders and to see if there’s any discipline to be handed out due to the event,” Gura said. “After that is done, we will review the incident as a department.”

Is refusal to comment on a sub judice matter only evidence of intelleigence when a rightwing moll exercises it?

A Houston police officer shot to death a man who was allegedly ignoring orders to disarm and was threatening to shoot his wife, HPD says.

Monta Cordell Fizer, 33, died about 1 p.m. after the incident in the 11700 block of South Sam Houston Parkway West.

Police said the location is the site of his wife's office, and she had called cops saying he had threatened her and was on the way there.

When Officer [J.M.] McPhail arrived, he saw Fizer getting into a cab in the parking lot in front of the business. Officer McPhail gave verbal commands for the driver and Fizer to exit the taxi immediately. The taxi driver complied, however, Fizer remained in the taxi.

Officer McPhail then took cover and repeatedly gave Fizer verbal commands to exit the taxi and to get on the ground and show his hands, which he ignored.

Fizer suddenly exited the taxi and, with one hand behind his back, walked toward Officer McPhail.

Fearing for his life, Officer McPhail discharged his duty weapon and struck Fizer.

Arriving offciers began to administer first aid, but Fizer died at the scene.

A pistol Fizer was armed with was recovered at the scene.

A New York City police officer who was shot and wounded while on duty in Queens was recovering from surgery Thursday as police hunted for the alleged gunman.

Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly identified 24-year-old John Thomas as the suspected assailant in the incident.

A law-enforcement official with knowledge of the matter said Mr. Thomas was identified as the alleged shooter in two ways: A fingerprint on a magazine for a Ruger 9mm handgun, which was found at the scene and believed to be the weapon used in the shooting, was tied to Mr. Thomas, the official said.

In addition, a set of keys dropped at the scene were traced to an apartment in a Queens public-housing project where Mr. Thomas appears to live, the official said.
nothing like throwing out in the public arena, evidence used to tie the shooter to the crime so as to influence any and all jury members. had the officer shot thomas, we'd be kept in the dark while their 'investigation' was being conducted.
