Biden kills Keystone XL permit.... again

That's really good news for the environment, indigenous people and sensible Canadians.

What's your beef ?

except all the environmental studies say that the pipeline would have a net positive impact on the environment as compared with transporting the same oil by rail or truck.....

this is energy independence

no, not even, dumbshit. the XL pipeline is just a federal payoff to the Koch Brothers for financing the GOP....we are not even close to energy independence, dipshit...

October 2020 Import Highlights
Monthly data on the origins of crude oil imports in October 2020 show that one country, Canada, exported more than one million barrels per day to the United States (see table below).
The top five exporting countries accounted for 86% of United States crude oil imports in October while the top ten sources accounted for approximately 94% of all U.S. crude oil imports. The top five sources of U.S. crude oil imports for October were Canada (3.4 million b/d), Mexico (472,000 b/d), Saudi Arabia (276,000 b/d), Colombia (196,000 b/d), and Ecuador (154,000 b/d). The remaining top ten sources, in order, were Russia (145,000 b/d), Iraq (121,000 b/d), Brazil ( 80,000 b/d), Angola ( 66,000 b/d), and United Kingdom ( 45,000 b/d). Total crude oil imports averaged 5.3 million b/d in October, which was a decrease of 104,000 b/d from imports during September 2020.

fucking idiot. Notice the sharp downward curve under Trump as well

It's all about Warren Buffets rail line bringing the oil!

it is canadian oil being delivered across our country to dumbass southern red states not smart enough to protect their own environments and refine everybody else's oil for them and get the increased cancer rates....the obvious answer IS CANADA BUILDING A REFINERY CLOSER TO WHERE THEY DIG UP THIS NASTY SHALE OIL.

Yeah, I mean...why would we ever prioritize the health of the planet?

There are so many to choose from. Once we use this one up, we can just move on to the next....

In an email to staff on Wednesday obtained by POLITICO, Keystone XL chief Richard Prior said the permit denial would force the company to cut more than 1,000 positions.

A few things:

1. You and Trump lost 20M jobs last year because you couldn't stop yourselves from lying.

2. The point of KXL is for TransCanada to bypass US PADD II refineries, so they can sell their Shale oil to China.

3. KXL will end up costing jobs in the long run because of the increase in energy prices that TransCanada promises.

4. KXL benefits a foreign company and only a foreign company. It doesn't benefit US consumers. Doesn't benefit US refineries. Doesn't benefit the domestic energy market.

Don't beleive me? Well, here's TransCanada themselves:

“Existing markets for Canadian heavy crude, principally PADD II [U.S. Midwest], are currently oversupplied, resulting in price discounting for Canadian heavy crude oil. Access to the USGC [U.S. Gulf Coast] via the Keystone XL Pipeline is expected to strengthen Canadian crude oil pricing in [the Midwest] by removing this oversupply. This is expected to increase the price of heavy crude to the equivalent cost of imported crude. The resultant increase in the price of heavy crude is estimated to provide an increase in annual revenue to the Canadian producing industry in 2013 of US $2 billion to US $3.9 billion.”

So anyone who supports KXL only does so because they want Canadian Shale oil to be sold to China at a markup instead of to the US at a discount.

So it's no surprise to me that Anatta supports KXL because Anatta's entire objective is to destabilize the US any way he can.

exactly. the Big Point beyond Keystone itself

You're a fucking idiot.

The resultant increase in the price of heavy crude is estimated to provide an increase in annual revenue to the Canadian producing industry in 2013 of US $2 billion to US $3.9 billion.”

This means we pay more for oil in the US if KXL is completed.
