What's to go over? The consensus among legal experts, virtually all legal experts, is that you can't charge or try a sitting president because it would incapacitate the nation. It is up to congress to impeach him if it is necessary.

Which explains why Pedo Don is so anxious to become President; he wants to be immune from prosecution for his treason and would probably pardon himself his last day in office.

What astounds me is how many people support Pedo Don in his crimes and efforts to be elected. Sad.

While it is true they haven't ruled on it the president, as it stands, cannot be prosecuted because it would interfere with his duties.

He can be charged however.

Any charges would have to wait until he is out of office which would be either the end of his term or impeachment through congress.

If it was something really serious I imagine congress would rush the impeachment.

Interesting to me is that, with the advent of the nuclear age, steps were taken within the US government to prevent a madman like Trump from launching missiles out of spite or some other irrational reason.

The nightmare scenario the movie "The Dead Zone" can't happen. Presumably, the Russians have similar safeguards on nutjobs like Putin. Let's hope Trump's treason causes a lot of Congressional discussion in the backroom to prevent such a blatant attempt to turn the United States into a fascist state.

Nixon deserved impeachment but Republicans convinced him to resign rather than face a conviction in impeachment.

Clinton deserved impeachment, but was let off the hook. IMO, that opened the gates to bad behavior by other politicians.

Trump deserved impeachment both for Ukraine and for 1/6 but was let off the hook by authoritarian assholes.

I don't know of any others who were impeached, especially none that didn't deserve it. If you disagree with any of the examples above, please explain why.
