Eastern philosophy says the self is an illusion

No it is not.

I disagree, but that disagreement is irrelevant to the fact that:

AI is meant to mimic the human mind/intelligence/brain or only human intelligence, if you prefer.

AI is generated by code

Code runs on computers

Computers are a form of electronic

Ok, looks like we are done.

Not rude, factual. You have no idea where you got that idea about Aristotle and the heart. Sorry, I don't waste time with trolls.

You don't appear to have been raised properly if you are unable to understand you are being rude. Especially given how thin skinned you are about EVERYONE ELSE being rude to you.

Guess hypocrisy is too tempting.

You change forum names more often than people change their underwear.

It is a sign of bad faith. Not interested.

I've never had a physics, chemistry, biology class at the college level that was "qualitative",

So by your estimation these are the ONLY SCIENCES? That's very limiting.

so I am going to trust my own experience and the American college system that the physical and biological sciences are highly quantitative, and their theories are all based on math, statistics, or quantitative data analysis.

I'm genuinely fascinated that you are willing to dismiss an entire branch or branches of the sciences simply because you have no experience of them. That's why I provided a reference.

You are as horrible as that asshole Doc. My god, you wasted my time in having to put you on ignore all the time.

You wouldn't have to put me on ignore if you were to try to be a less thin-skinned douche yourself. YOU are rude and nasty.

Literally everyone who even MILDLY disagrees with you is a "troll" in your estimation. Maybe YOU are the troll.

Ok, looks like we are done.

I guess that's easier than explaining how AI isn't based on electronics.

Well, whenever you want to explain how AI isn't based on electronics..... I'm all ears! Or eyes, in this case.

There's like a zero % chance that BP knows anything technical about AI. But I will, in some essence, agree that it is not limited solely to electronics. Technically speaking AI is a mathematical structure which is carried out by the electronics but can exist separate from the electronics as a framework or concept.

That being said, it is effectively linked to electronics in a nearly perfect way since that is how it will be manifested.

The problem you have run into is that you disagree with BP and that will result in you ultimately being labeled a "troll" by BP. BP has no real expertise in any of this stuff and if you TRY to engage them you will ultimately not learn anything and BP will simply frustrate you with absurdist leading questions followed by attacks on you.

To my knowledge, and feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, no current AI, whether it's a robotic sex doll, ChatGPT or otherwise, could exist without electronics.

I took sociology and economics in college, and the social sciences are also quantitative, especially statistical methods, probability, numerical summaries.

You're free to walk into any college science seminar you want and holler that you want to do science without any algebra, calculus, statistics, or probability. But you should be prepared to hear roars of laughter as you get escorted from the seminar.
