Edwards

:D

LOL. I mentioned that the party rejected him for the top job.

Crap. I hate it when that happens.

Anyway, it is stupid to say that he wasn't running for the top job "tonight" in answer to the fact that the party rejected him for that position.

Onceler is the one waxing rhapsodic. In case you didn't notice.

No he was basically agreeing with me, and I am willing to bet that you saw them on that stage together, all that youth, all that energy, all those good looks, and you pictured the Fossil, and you got scared Damo.

You should be.

Yes. He was. Hence my mention of "top-job" that Onceler suddenly couldn't think that he was running for.

Uh huh; I didn't exactly forget Damo. However, it's two completely different lines of argument that you're making. You were talking about not getting enough votes for the top job; I'm talking about appeal w/in the party & the effectiveness of an endorsement.

I shouldn't have to explain that. Only really stupid people need that explained to them. If you watch a few cable shows tonight, you'll hear how people who are actually IN the party feel about it, and it's not along the lines of your 'theories'.

I don't even know why I hate Edwards so much.

His brand of socialism is pretty standard fare for Democratic presidential candidates, and he seems personable so I really shouldn't hate him this much.

But everytime I see him smiling his faux-smile and fixing his hair I want to punch him.

I haven't seen it. I was wondering when he was going to attempt to jump on the wave. It's too late, IMO. I find it weak and ineffectual to have somebody endorse him when he has already won. If he could bring all those voters he should have done it long ago when he could have pushed her behind out of the race, instead of now that even the Left thinks she's an evil harpy.

Oh the jealousy!

Well, I guess when you have one side with all of the youth, and all of the energy, and all of the good looks, and on the other side you have Fossil doing the old man shuffle....it's to be expected.

We can be gracious about it.

I'm suuurreee Fossil was something in his time Damo...and he's not completely decrepit, no, really.

That is how I feel about female conservatives! But, shhhhh, it's "controversial" to say that!

"I haven't seen it"

Shocker. Nothing like passing a judgment about something sight unseen, and then loudly proclaiming how right you are about it.

Outstanding.

Sad. If this is the best you can do, then you realize that I am correct and you have no way to point out how you are right.

If he was this effective he could have endorsed Obama when it mattered and helped push the Harpy from the race. Instead he waits until it is very clear she is done, then tries to get into the grave conga. Too bad everybody else has already gone on to the party at Obama's house and he's left standing alone in the graveyard.

LOL.

Ok!

You worry about your party, I'll worry about mine. I'm very pleased with the timing of the endorsement and the power of Edwards' speech. And they looked incredible together.

Youth, vigor, energy, they just radiate it all.

I didn't pass judgment on his speech. I speak of the timing and how weak it is to endorse after the win is in the bag. It takes no courage to endorse the man who has already won.

Again, because you are wearing rose-colored glasses. Weakness is not leadership. It's like Rudy going out and making a speech on how he endorses McCain. It is irrelevant, McCain is the nominee already.
