Edwards

That is how I feel about female conservatives! But, shhhhh, it's "controversial" to say that!

I normally hate generalizations, but...

honestly I sort of see your point about female conservatives. I interact with a pretty good number of them in, and in addition to being massive hypocrites it's just uncomfortable to defend my anti-war stance to a woman.

I don't even know why I hate Edwards so much.

His brand of socialism is pretty standard fare for Democratic presidential candidates, and he seems personable so I really shouldn't hate him this much.

But everytime I see him smiling his faux-smile and fixing his hair I want to punch him.
I don't hate him. I just think he's another go where the wind blows politician. Any politician could fill the same space and do the same thing.

The vehement uber-christians... Well, I am a member of a minority religion... :dunno:

Again, because you are wearing rose-colored glasses. Weakness is not leadership. It's like Rudy going out and making a speech on how he endorses McCain. It is irrelevant, McCain is the nominee already.

Nah. It's like Huckabee going out and making a major speech about McCain, because McCain is having trouble with Huckabee-type supporters, not with Rudy's people.

It's important within the party. You're not a part of that, so don't worry about it.

Yeah, it's the war thing that does it for me, I can totally understand that.

See that's the thing I actually hate him.

I think it goes back to 2004, when I learned that hating GWB and the War didn't make me a liberal. I see Edwards as the face of phoniness socialism in the Party.

People like him are the reason people like me aren't Democrats.

As I said, I would agree had he done this when it mattered. Instead when Hillbilly is only doing the involuntary twitches of the dead is when he comes out and "helps".

Four weeks ago, maybe six... I would be "Wow, Edwards is gonna make a difference."

Instead he waits until it just doesn't matter at all. Those people Obama had a "problem" with are going to vote for him with or without Edwards.

As I said, I think Roy Romer who until today was a HillBilly supporter probably made more of a difference.

Rereading my statement, I suppose that could be construed as sexist. (WOMEN CAN'T BE PROWAR!!!)

But a more appropriate way for me to say it is that I expect better from women.

I would actually like to see him on the VP ticket and take it to the insurance companies.

Sad. If this is the best you can do, then you realize that I am correct and you have no way to point out how you are right.

If he was this effective he could have endorsed Obama when it mattered and helped push the Harpy from the race. Instead he waits until it is very clear she is done, then tries to get into the grave conga. Too bad everybody else has already gone on to the party at Obama's house and he's left standing alone in the graveyard.

Shocker! Damo thinks the timing of the Edwards endorsement was abominable!

I don't think Edwards endorsing him earlier would have made a hill of beans of difference. And it wouldn't have pushed hillary out of the race. Endorsements don't matter that much.

I'm still hoping Edwards gets the VP nod again....but, I'm probably naive as hell!

Oh ok, sure, anyway...wouldn't it be funny if the Fossil picked Grandpa Thompson as his VP nominee? And then we could have a JPP pool, who is going to do the Bob Dole head first plunge off of the stage, first?

I will probably pick Thompson. He falls asleep more often on stage. But McFossil could pull a surprise dive.

I didn't say "abominable" I said "irrelevant", everything after that is fruit from the poisoned tree. Nothing but a strawman.

Noooo. Hillary would have scrammed as soon as Edwards endorsed! You obviously are not the political mastermind that Damo is.

Sure. That would be awesome. It doesn't change that the endorsement is irrelevant when the winner is certain.

Yeah you could tell Obama thought it was irrelevant the way he held it back till prime time, where it got massive media coverage and people were like "W Virginia who?"

You are totally smarter than the Obama campaign.

LOL

Didn't I tell you about republican concern trolling? I'm totally hip to it, by now. I guess you are too!

No, you said he brought all those votes with him. I said "IF HE COULD BRING THE VOTES HE SHOULD HAVE..."

I also said, he probably could have made some difference if he had endorsed earlier. Instead he waited until he was irrelevant.

Yeah, they are so funny. The thing is, you can actually feel the edge of desperation behind their concern now. Seriously. You can feel it.

Maybe it was that last Mississippi race. But something has turned the desperation palpable.

I on the other hand, have been giddy! Edwards sucks, yeah ok,, sure! LOL

Note here, in answer to your "he's gonna bring all the people Obama has a problem with over to Obama's side" I stated the above.

First you say he can bring all those votes then you say he couldn't. Which is it?
