As noted before, Juan Merchan is a feckless cunt. There is no telling what sort of dirty tricks he has in store to corrupt the elections.

Some possibilities, immediate remand to keep the opposition from campaigning. This fits with his unethical gag orders to corrupt the election. He could sentence Trump to community service - again to keep the opposition candidate from campaigning. Or he could spark an outright constitutional crisis by attempting to put Trump in prison.
