The "rights of the minority" are not impugned by allowing the supermajority the OPTION of buying into a medicare-like health plan.

They'll never really get this. Until the Becks & Limbaughs stop saying "government run healthcare - they'll be deciding your doctors!", they won't get it.
It's pretty great, though. In order to oppose it, they are doing what they did with the environment: basically, taking a stand against the entire issue. So, just for the sake of opposing libs, the GOP is now anti-environment, and anti-healthcare.

President Obama is not eliminating private insurers, so your answer is yes, it's all horseshit. Most of it spouted by people being paid by big health care, and then repeated by ameba-brains like yourself and meme.
To an educated person, who sees clearly that you have been tricked into advocating against your own interests, you're a joke. I don't know who told you that you aren't a joke, but I have noted that often among the poorly educated, their opinion of their own "common sense" is much higher than anything they write, speak, or think, would ever call for.
You're confusing communism with representative democracy.
In the latter, we elect the people who make policy decisions & write legislation. Those people represent the people who elected them.
Ergo, in order to have a say in policy, the representatives who you support have to win elections.
That's how it works.
If they weren't a major cause of so many health-care related deaths already, I would find them only pitiful, as opposed to mostly pitiful.
But they've done enough damage in the past to earn scorn along with pity.
