Cops lie to those who they merely suspect at breaking the law, and it is well-documented that the US Government has usurped its authority. If its OK with Johnny Law then its OK with me.

We are not talking about law. We are talking about morality. When you are dealing with what others want, your morality doesn't waiver. But for a few extra dollars, you somehow decide that lying is acceptable?

No, thats not how it works. The rules are for how we behave all the time. If it is immoral to lie, then it is immoral to lie to the IRS, to the cops, to your priest, or to anyone else.
