Not to try and defend Hillary but I don't even think she was trying to frame his as the black candidate. I think she was trying to equate him with people like Mondale and Dukakis (sp), other Democrats that had trouble getting that white blue collar vote.

No, that I disagree with. She was trying to make him the unelectable black candidate, and that started with Bill in S carolina and his Jesse Jackson comment. she continued it though.

The problem with your side desh is that you do not get rid of the "tools" that prove ineffective. You just keep trying to cram more and more tools into the toolbox. Social Security. Medicare. Medicaid. Education. etc....

Ok that’s true about obama.

Well, I agree with Onceler that there should be some sort of intelligence test, but I think that the top 5% is going quite a bit too far. I mean, if we could just exclude the bottom 20%, we’d probably be making some big changes.

I'm suspect that the vast majority of the bottom 20% don't even vote, anyway.

Hell only 60% of us turn out to vote in a GOOD year.

The most dangerous thread to our elections are not the idiots who know they are idiots and stay home, but the 60% of Americans who know just enough about politics to think they have it all figured out.

When we hand our tools over to another to use "for" us we limit our ability to succeed by taking away necessary tools. Saying, I need to put this nail in the wood, then handing the hammer to another does nothing to teach you how to use a hammer. You take from others especially in the name of "help" and "compassion" mistaking the place from where help comes rather than dependence.

I know you're friends with him so I won't try to get you to insult him or agree, but there should be some sort of test that blocks people who are on the USC-Battleborne-Jollie level of intelligence from ever casting a ballot.

I don't think US is stupid... I think he simply likes playing the part of an ass.

Hence his one liners. Upon the rare occasion you get him to actually debate an issue, he will give thoughtful responses and support intelligent positions. The problem is he does that in about 1 out of every 1000 of his posts.
 
Like any other religion, in the church of government the true believer will always exist and insist that they can create a benevolence without malevolence through force only in the direction they believe to be right.

They are two differnt animals and our founders knew that.

Religion is a master and a democratic government is the tool of the people.

I think one of the reasons I am so fond of usc, is how freaking crazy he makes people like you and cawacko. I’ve known cawacko for years before either of us started posting here, and I have never, ever, seen him get as aggravated as Usc makes him. I laugh my ass off over it. And it’s totally obvious that usc does it on purpose, that’s what is even funnier.

Please, stop repeating what others have already posted and quit limiting your mind. I can speak of abstract right and wrong while pragmatically voting for something I believe in "more" than another, the "lesser of two evils".

So, either expand your mind and enter something more abstract, or stay out of the conversation that you can't comprehend.
