It’s time to talk about Donald Trump’s age

At 78, former President Donald Trump is now the oldest presidential nominee in American history. If he wins re-election in November, Trump will end his term just a few months shy of his 83rd birthday, making him two years older than President Joe Biden is now.

In short, Donald Trump has a serious age problem.

Comparing footage from Trump’s 2015 presidential announcement to footage from earlier this year shows that Trump isn’t quite the man he used to be. The former president now routinely confuses names when speaking off the cuff — including the name of his own doctor — and struggled to finish his sentences during a Nashville rally earlier this year. How can the American people be sure Trump’s stumbles aren’t part of a sustained pattern of cognitive decline?

His memory problems are well-documented; the former president doesn’t seem able to recall what he was doing or who he spoke to for most of the day on Jan. 6, 2021. He also regularly forgets who the sitting president is, often confusing Joe Biden and Barack Obama during unscripted remarks. That seems pretty important.

Agreed but why did you have no concerns about bidens age when he’s actually older and showed clear signs of dementia in the primary debates 4 years ago?

He did not. He has served for 4 years and has had no problems. Biden's stuttering problem spurred gaffes. They bothered me. But running against Trump turned that into nothing. Trump's lies and his lack of ethics and morality were real problems.

To me, it's 100% fair game to bring up someone's age. We expect a lot from our President's and being able to handle (or the perception that you can) the rigors of the position is one of them. Especially in this world of social media. We're not in some bygone era pre television where people didn't necessarily see the President on a daily, or regular, basis. It today's world we do.

And pre the first debate, polls showed large numbers of Americans were not happy with our two choices and age played a big role in that.

What makes me laugh was, even post debate, the complaining that responses to Biden were ageist and disgusting. Think you'll hear that same response to age comments made to Trump? (and this is not said in defense of Trump)

I posted an article by a linguist professor last week that said his childhood stuttering is completely independent of his what you call gaffes, most others would call mental blackouts.
Here it is.

The silence is deafening.

No, no it's not.

Fuck you and your retarded Democrat talking points of the day.

Try again tomorrow. :D

It has always been time to talk about an aging fat-man running for president. Especially one who is corrupt and lies like he does. He is guilty of 34 felonies and a corrupt judge helped him escape many more.
Trump has always hidden his physicals and his medical emergencies. We never got the facts of his overall health. We did not get the truth about his serious bout of Covid.
Now he is hiding his ear scratch. This time is different. Instead of downplaying his physical problems, he is trying to generate sympathy for his scratched ear by hiding how inconsequential it is.

Because it is all propaganda pushed out by Media Matters and picked up by a few left-wing lemmings here in JPP.

So Trump gave a 3,000 word written speech at the RNC. Then he ad libbed an additional 9,000 words.

People might want to take another look at those 9000 ad libbed words and sentences before considering them a defense of any sort...against how he is coping with his aging.

I don't watch primary debates.

Biden seemed adequate to me in the presidential debates against Trump in 2020, especially compared to Trump's manic performance.

Democrats have convinced Biden to step aside and let someone younger take a stab at it. It's over.

The only issue now is why Republicans aren't asking Trump to stand down, and are in fact eager as ever to suck his cock.

Why did you guys fret about it with Joe Biden...but seem to have no concern at all with Trump?
Yes, it's about age but as much as that it's about the vibrancy and vitality of that person. We all know two people can be the same age (whatever age that is) and be in very different places physically and mentally.

The fact that you see Democrats saying they were upset because they felt Biden's inner circle kept his true condition from them (us) tells you all you need to know. Say what you will about Trump but compared to Biden he came across with more energy and vibrancy. Now matched against someone younger Trump's (old) age may be exposed and people who didn't question it as much before will start to do so.
