They obviously didn't listen to him meaning he wasn't in control of it.

He told them to protest peacefully and they didn't listen to him.

From court documents we know that the four leaders of this had planned this from the get go, they were going to riot regardless of what Trump told them.

Seriously, what benefit would storming the capital have for Trump, he's not an idiot.

Why does fighting have to mean being violent?

People have legal fights all the time, sometimes people are fighting for their lives, sometimes they are fighting for political reform, sometimes they are fighting for civil rights.

Why does that phrase mean being violent to you?
