Louisiana will require the 10 Commandments displayed in every public school classroom

But it is the point, you desire to ignore it is irrelevant. The Constitution only says the govt cannot ESTABLISH a religion. Posting the 10 commandments doesnt ESTABLISH any religion.

Lots of them. The department of education. The Constitution does not authorize the govt to engage in education.
The reality is that the government DOES engage in education and SCOTUS rulings have said government institutions cannot promote one religion over another.

Pretty fucking simple. Except to simpletons.

I accept your tacit admission that I never said the Decalogue is the equivalent of the Sermon on the Mount. I asked a bible thumper to prove to me they are supposedly equivalent, because Yakuda's claim was that if you just obey the Decalogue, then that somehow means by default you are obeying the standards of the Sermon on the Mount
I will accept your express admission that you fucked up......I have quoted you literally stating they are equivalent.....if you want to retract your statement feel free, since it was a stupid statement but don't pretend you didn't make it.....

Why is it so important to you to have the Ten Commandments in schools when you support a guy who has broken most of them. That tells me you don’t believe they mean anything. The snowflake here is YOU pal.

I
One should strive to act with compassion and empathy toward all creatures in accordance with reason.
II
The struggle for justice is an ongoing and necessary pursuit that should prevail over laws and institutions.
III
One’s body is inviolable, subject to one’s own will alone.
IV
The freedoms of others should be respected, including the freedom to offend. To willfully and unjustly encroach upon the freedoms of another is to forgo one's own.
V
Beliefs should conform to one's best scientific understanding of the world. One should take care never to distort scientific facts to fit one's beliefs.
VI
People are fallible. If one makes a mistake, one should do one's best to rectify it and resolve any harm that might have been caused.
VII
Every tenet is a guiding principle designed to inspire nobility in action and thought. The spirit of compassion, wisdom, and justice should always prevail over the written or spoken word.

  1. Do not give opinions or advice unless you are asked.
  2. Do not tell your troubles to others unless you are sure they want to hear them.
  3. When in another’s lair, show him respect or else do not go there.
  4. If a guest in your lair annoys you, treat him cruelly and without mercy.
  5. Do not make sexual advances unless you are given the mating signal.
  6. Do not take that which does not belong to you unless it is a burden to the other person and he cries out to be relieved.
  7. Acknowledge the power of magic if you have employed it successfully to obtain your desires. If you deny the power of magic after having called upon it with success, you will lose all you have obtained.
  8. Do not complain about anything to which you need not subject yourself.
  9. Do not harm little children.
  10. Do not kill non-human animals unless you are attacked or for your food.
  11. When walking in open territory, bother no one. If someone bothers you, ask him to stop. If he does not stop, destroy him

Nope. The snowflake is you for crying about it.

Funny how it all comes back to

TRUMP!

Except I’m not crying about it. I’m pointing out that you couldn’t care less about those commandments. That’s not your agenda. Just like you don’t care about kids. But you pretend to in order to ‘own the libs’. That’s all you want, little snowflake. You are failing.

They post it cause they want others to follow their religious beliefs. Not them, they don't bother adhering to those themselves or expecting our leaders to do so either. Teaching religious hypocrisy young. Hooray!

If this isn’t overturned I would be shocked. At a minimum Robert’s and Barret will join the other three. Otherwise we can just throw the principle of stare decisis out the window.

Of course you are, you're here bitching and moaning about it.
You aren't pointing out shit, you're going off on a tangent , little snowflake.

Well...I suspect that by ordering the Ten Commandments to be posted in every classroom, the Louisiana governor was just trying to embarrass Trump.

Not very seemly on his part.

Posting up the 10 Commandments up in every classroom will have the same effect as making every student watch REEFER MADNESS!

If they should be posting anything up in a classroom, they should be posting the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution of The United States, or the BILL OF RIGHTS!
So u disagree with

“Thou shalt not kill.”

“Thou shalt not commit adultery.”

“Thou shalt not steal.”

They are there to help you. It's not like the government is going to force you to do something like take a COVID shot or anything.
