Capitalism, which means Investor Supremacy, fits in well with a republic, which is the chief enemy of democracy. Notice that all the Communist countries call themselves "republics." That is not a perversion of the term; it is what both Capitalism and Socialist Versions are all about.

Wrong. Jesus wanted us to be meek, pacifist, and proud to be poor so the hereditary plutocratic parasites could more easily push us around. Many of the Christian orders of priests practiced poverty as if it were a virtue. What fixed class benefits from that wimpy, dreamy, and passive attitude?
St. Francis of Assisi, whom the present Pope is named after, set the worst example for how to live life to its fullest opportunities.
