Most gender-confused children grow out of it, landmark 15-year study concludes

I think this might be it: https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s10508-024-02817-5

All the authors are from Groningen Univ. in case that makes a diff.

Again that link does not come from that university

It won’t show me anything

It just gives a page that asks for you to accept ALL THEIR COOKIES TO VEIW THE PAGE

NOT ANY LINK TO THE UNIVERSITY IN THE ADRESS

ITS A TRAP

Universities don’t hide their studies like that

It should be findable at the universities actual site

I looked at their list on recent gender studies

They open that wide to see

This shit appears Nowhere on the real site

Give the researchers names and the official name of the study

No one should fall for that trash link to mine your info

The way I found what I think is the study is using the one quote from the study I plugged that into Google Scholar. But generally it would be best if the news outlet carrying the story actually gave the link itself if they failed to do so.

Because it’s bait link

No such study exists

They want your info

So they can trash your system or work you over to become a foreign interest tool

No universities hide their research like this

It’s gake news produced by China or Russia working with the trump cabal

It's Springer. They are a very well-known publisher of numerous scientific journals. I wouldn't worry too much.

Also: when a study is released it is not uncommon to do so via publication out of a standard journal rather than publishing it via the university press.

But I also understand if you don't want cookies on your machine.

Then go get it and post it here

Or at least give us the working title of the study and the researchers name

You are not trustable

This study was not done by the named University

It’s a lie

And a link trap connected to nefarious actors

Rawee, P., Rosmalen, J.G.M., Kalverdijk, L. et al. Development of Gender Non-Contentedness During Adolescence and Early Adulthood. Arch Sex Behav (2024). https://doi.org/10.1007/s10508-024-02817-5

Abstract
Adolescence is an important period for the development of gender identity. We studied the development of gender non-contentedness, i.e., unhappiness with being the gender aligned with one’s sex, from early adolescence to young adulthood, and its association with self-concept, behavioral and emotional problems, and adult sexual orientation. Participants were 2772 adolescents (53% male) from the Tracking Adolescents’ Individual Lives Survey population and clinical cohort. Data from six waves were included (ages 11–26). Gender non-contentedness was assessed with the item “I wish to be of the opposite sex” from the Youth and Adult Self-Report at all six waves. Behavioral and emotional problems were measured by total scores of these scales at all six waves. Self-concept was assessed at age 11 using the Global Self-Worth and Physical Appearance subscales of the Self-Perception Profile for Children. Sexual orientation was assessed at age 22 by self-report. In early adolescence, 11% of participants reported gender non-contentedness. The prevalence decreased with age and was 4% at the last follow-up (around age 26). Three developmental trajectories of gender non-contentedness were identified: no gender non-contentedness (78%), decreasing gender non-contentedness (19%), and increasing gender non-contentedness (2%). Individuals with an increasing gender non-contentedness more often were female and both an increasing and decreasing trajectory were associated with a lower global self-worth, more behavioral and emotional problems, and a non-heterosexual sexual orientation. Gender non-contentedness, while being relatively common during early adolescence, in general decreases with age and appears to be associated with a poorer self-concept and mental health throughout development.

Kids born in the wrong sex or are gay know it at a young age. Even when they are too young to understand. Nearly everyone in school knows they are different. For most people. the teenage years are vital in their identification.
The people in my grade school and high school who were gay still are as far as I know.
I am not qualified to tell them what is right about their gender identification. Blanket laws will result in doing harm to many of them.

You can cut your pecker off if you want too. Doctors shouldn't Just like doctors shouldn't cut off a functional leg or arm.

As long as no taxpayer money is used directly or indirectly to support it, why would anyone care?

If an adult wants to cut their leg off because they think they are a pirate (less delusional than thinking one is a different gender) then go for it. BUT if they want to go on disability because they lost a leg - fuck them.

Utter bullshit.

You're as dumb as a turnip.

Not the answer I was looking for because irreversible surgeries are not being done on children.

Well now, that's a blatant lie.

The answer I was looking for is what to do with genuine transgender children.

Leave children alone.

It's a simple concept. When they turn 21 - they can do anything they choose to their bodies. Until then it's off limits.

Yeah, it's pretty clear evince doesn't even know how scientific publications work. if they are paranoid about cookies from a well-known and respected publisher they should be absolutely horrified that half the time JPP shows up as a "questionable" site with my antivirus. So there's that.
