Biden encouraged Putin by stating he would ignore a minor incursion.......he didn't issue sanctions until other NATO members did.......he didn't send support to Ukraine until other nations did.......he didn't ban Russian oil imports until Nancy and the demmycrats in the House demanded a vote......he was embarrassed into action by his own party.....

you should look at OTHER statements from Russia warning NATO hands off and reprisals

Or you can just read what Austin said about "degrading Russian military for the future" -
which is war against Russia and not just proxy. It's a stated goal.. Declared war.

so here we are with at least a defacto war with Russia over Ukraine?
Against our national interests,and distracts from China and sends a lot of inventory to east Europe

Putin was the one who started the violence.

He is the one in a position to decide to stop the violence.

There are no Ukranian or NATO troops on Russian soil.


Putin had instigated wars against his neighbors three times in the last 14 years. Until Putin modifies his behaviors, it is perfectly reasonable to talk about degrading Russian economic and military power so they pose less of a threat to world peace and the sovereignty of their neighbors.
