NC can now resume executions

But you are all for NC getting back to killing folks even though there IS no elevated standard in the law.

Another example of your hypocrisy.

Aren't you the author of the OP?

Do you claim in that OP that you oppose the death penalty being used at all in your state until wording is put into state statutes that mandates an extraordinarily strict standard of proof for death penalty cases? If so, I missed it and apologize. If not, you're a fucking racist hypocrite.

Did you read the OP? You fucking posted it.

Again... You act all bleeding heart about elevated standards of proof, but the OP doesn't say anything other than "Hot Dayum! We kin start killin' folks again... Especially them neeegroes who've been hidin' behind that there law."

Does that lab contradict the juries in your state? Is there, as you claim to advocate, a law n NC that requires a different and more stringent standard of proof before applying the death penalty? Did YOU, in the OP advocate for such an elevated standard, or did you simply rejoice in the fact that your state could start killing more people, with no mention of any elevated standard of proof whatsoever?

Racial bias should be considered.

This white bitch, 1 %er refused to hand over cash to the assailants because they were black.
That's clear racism.
If they were white she would have paid her fair share!
She should be executed and these poor innocent black kids should be elevated to hero status for bravely standing up to the one percenters racist actions.

1. The lab ensures the highest level of integrity presenting evidence. This ain't po-dunk Maine or corrupt Mexico.
2. It's up to the defense attorney to convince the jury to hold a high standard of proof. Since race is no longer a factor, juries can focus on the evidence that really matters.
3. I find great joy that justice will now be served, victim's families will find closure, and the death penalty will again be seen as a deterrent to would-be murderers.

No. No... and No then Yes.

Thanks for playing.

My opinion? really? In answer to the first question, of course your super duper lab does not contradict juries. Juries are free to decide guilt or innocence regardless of the quality -or lack thereof - of the evidence placed before them so, that is clearly a factual NO. As for the second question, there IS no law on the books in NC that requires a different and more stringent standard of proof for awarding capital punishment, so that is also clearly a factual NO. The third question was a two part question. the OP is a matter of public record and, in it, you clearly do NOT advocate for any elevation of the standard of proof for death penalty verdicts, so the first part is clearly another factual NO. The second part of question three dealt with whether or not you avoided the advocacy of elevated standards of proof and, instead merely rejoiced in the fact that your state can now resume executions - and, I might add, with no protections for black defendants against the inherent racism of southern juries. The very title of the thread itself makes the answer to that part a factual YES. No opinions necessary. The facts speak for themselves.

You TALK about advocating for the application of the death penalty only in those cases with strong, undeniable evidence, yet, you don't really do any "advocating", except for swift application of the sentence.
