Saying hi!

Communism and Socialism are diverse philosophies, SB. The term "communism" has been prejudiced by time but I object to your belief that communism is merely extreme socialism, and that communists can't believe in democracy or have to believe the government should own everything. In truth, communism and socialism literally can mean just about the same thing, but in vernacular usage your assertion that communism is undemocratic and total control whereas that's not true with socialism is often used. But that's not the entire story. Many people who would call themselves socialist where undemocratic, and have you ever heard of eurocommunism?

Hun I'm talking about the National Assembly which is 70% on Chavez's side for most things. He also has a Constitution and a Supreme Court. Get a damn clue. Valid comparison? LOL. Not at all. Chavez hasn't killed anyone and he's been president since 1998. Chavez also respects the people who voted down his last reform amendments and has followed their Constitution to a tee. Have you ever read it? Might wanna do that before you make a pathetic non-existant "comparison." Chavez is improving everyone's lives in Venezuela: including those who hate him. Imagine that! So take your fucked up "comparison" somewhere else.

As I said, Chavez can still rule by decree. So you can take your 'beweefs' and cram them up your ass, along with your little poli-sci 101 credit. I'm glad you're into crime and stuff now. The cwiminals will have such a bwight future. :p

Hi everyone,
I'm new here and I'm twenty-five and a college student studying criminal justice and want to focus on Criminology. Politically I associate myself as a socialist. In my free time I love to read, listen to music, watch movies and play video games. :)

I think you're really about 18, half way through your first year at college. Either way, a little knowledge can be dangerous. OYE! :can:

Uh that's what communism is. Even by the few communists I've spoken to they've said this. Uh no communism and socialism doesn't mean the same thing. You still need to do some more reading.

Uh yeah dumbass. That's what I said. Wow that really got by you! No hun I'm not going to cram my beliefs up my ass. They're my beliefs and if you don't like it you can shove it. Your little pathetic talking shows you're really very immature. Grow the hell up little one before you try to play with the big kids. Loser.

Socialism is, according to the Marx writing, the incomplete and imperfect version of Communism. I believe this is what H2O is speaking of. The problem is the difference between what you believe Socialism is and what Marx wrote about what it is.

You're pathetic and need to borrow my reading glasses. Either that or your brain transplant didn't work. Only a pathetic neocon would see education and knowledge as dangerous. It appears you didn't get that GED of yours yet.

Gee you better go and tell that to all those socialists I quoted earlier that they're wrong too.

Said1, is one of the smartest and most capable of people. It isn't likely that she is going to hate socialism just because living outside the US she has a different perspective. "Loser" is most definitely a direct and provocative turn of phrase.

While Said1 will not take offense to the phrase she will return in kind. It is simply an example of what I have stated before. It seems that you are finding dischord in agreement. Was it necessary to say, "Yeah! You are a loser because this is what I was saying!"?

Whether or not they are "wrong" is opinion, what Marx wrote of is not. This is why I was using his definitions to begin with. I am not seeking to find a fight, just working to find an agreement of definition. Otherwise all rhetoric will be summarily dismissed by all parties and unnecessary battles of "will" will wind up taking place.

LOL. You got me. I don't even know who Hugo Chavez really is. I was thinking new mexican clothing line, then I find out he's the leader of some country somewhere and it's NOT Mexico.

Why don't you try some other threads and show off that fancy book learning.

And you were far more, shall I say 'politic'? I will..., politic than I remember you. I think it may be the site. I have huge respect for Canada because I know that there are people like Said1 there...

That is somewhat what I'm speaking on. But there's no one complete authority on socialist/communist theories. There's a thousand different meanings of each term.

Hence my working on getting her definition. It seems that what Marx believed communist to be, is what she believes socialism to be.

Actually, it's what I said. The enabling act was passed, he can rule by decree for at least another 9 months. That gives him the power to over ride the National Assembly in certain areas, like the economy, which includes nationalization. Ruling by decree gives him the power to create laws and policies in those areas without challenge - for at least nine more months. The National Assembly gave him this power. Which isn't surprising considering they love him, right?

Are you serious? So that's why she was insulting me personally and my own intelligence. She can't handle a come back than she shouldn't throw them and insult my own intelligence. Are you reading any of this? Apparently not. I'm not going to just be nice to someone who insults me and has done nothing but that since coming into my thread. I don't care where she lives. If she comes in here and personally insults me I'm going to fight back if you're (as a moderator) not going to do anything about it.

She wanted me to believe that this was granted through the constitution. Even when I proposed the idea that it was a law proposed by the assembly....

I am eager to see her answer.
