The incident has also put a spotlight on the immensity — and perhaps the impossibility — of law enforcement’s task to protect the 535 members of Congress at a time of unprecedented numbers of threats against them."

Article claims it was all recorded. If true, and it supports the narrative, why not release it, as it would hurt GOP critics 6 days before an election?
 
No security footage released , no body cam footage, no coherent statements from the police. They have spent the last four days constructing a narrative.

Rational, intelligent people know two things: 1) It's an open investigation, and 2) any evidence against DePape has to solid enough for a conviction. Fantasies about deep state CGI won't fly there.

You're free to believe this was a lover's spat between two nude homos, but given your lack of veracity in other cases, I doubt many people will believe you.

Dear Dumbass; like you, Derek was such a racist dumbass that he committed his crime in front of multiple civilian witnesses, who immediately released the footage to the world.

Same goes for video of Rittenhouse. The police stuff was held, but American citizens are free to release whatever pictures they like.

The video that was first released was one taken by a 16 year old girl. The police didn't have that one. The police body cam videos weren't released until almost 2 month after Floyd's death and a month and a half after the indictments.
