Trump Advocates for State-Level Decision Making on Abortion Rights

is this news to you, Cuntselor......its been part of the Republican platform since 1972 to let states choose......meanwhile YOUR party's platform has always been that the federal courts should decide to promote abortion until birth regardless of what the states choose........I sort of think your party is the loser on that balance beam.......

So now that your fuhrer has said it's up to the states the republican platform is not to restrict abortion rights? People aren't that fucking stupid and know just exactly what the right would like to do.

she didn't have to flee the state to get an abortion.....her mother TOOK her out of state because she didn't want Ohio to know her boyfriend had raped her ten year old daughter......that's the type of thing lib'ruls promote.......

While the right wants to force that 10 yr old to carry that pregnancy to term? Disgusting. Maybe the right should use that in a commercial for why women should not be allowed to get an abortion?

The legislators of each state are elected by the people.

What is more democratic than allowing the people of each state to elect those who support or not support their position on abortion?

When it crosses the line of stripping people of their unalienable rights, it’s not democratic. It’s anti-Constitutional.

What’s next? Individual states banning carrying guns? Restricting ammunition? Allowing guns only in the home for self-defense?

When you start stripping Americans of their rights, you have failed to uphold the tenets of American values.

That is
Correct... He was charged and sentenced...

quite frankly, you are totally full of shit.......and what difference does it actually make if you kill and unborn child in the 8th month of pregnancy or the 4th......do you think its any less dead?.....

Seems you are wrong again. People don't get abortions in the third trimester like ignorant rightwingers would like you to believe.

Less than 1% of abortions take place in the third trimester
Terminating a pregnancy after 21 weeks is exceedingly rare. People seek third-trimester abortions for two main reasons: because they learn about the health of the fetus – or because of barriers to abortion access, often as a result of state policies.

The truth about late-term abortions in the US: they're very rare
Late-term abortions are also very rare. In 2015 1.3% happened on or after 21 weeks of pregnancy, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

About 99% of abortions are performed well before the third trimester and about 90+% of them (performed in the third trimester) are due to a medical condition where the LAST thing the woman involved wants is an abortion.

Thank god she was able to get an abortion! You forgot about that little ditty while you were trying to change the subject to immigration.

The issue was her mom tried to hide the fact that she was pregnant... There would have been plenty of time for an abortion in Columbus.Had she addressed the situation to me... She was covering for the illegal boyfriend... Who got a life sentence But was given a plea deal for the possibility of parole someday...because the family begged and the judge ....smh...

In a recent video, Donald Trump articulated his stance on abortion, emphasizing that the matter should be decided by individual states rather than at the federal level. This announcement, shared on his Truth Social platform, ended months of speculation regarding his position. Trump conveyed that the decision on abortion rights should rest with state legislatures or through direct voter input, asserting that their resolutions should stand as the prevailing laws within each state.

Without specifying a timeframe, Trump outlined his perspective against the backdrop of varied state regulations following the Supreme Court's overturning of Roe v. Wade. He acknowledged that states might adopt different restrictions based on the collective will of their citizens.

Amidst the ongoing debate on abortion rights, Trump's comments come as both political parties eye the 2024 presidential election, with abortion access remaining a pivotal issue. President Joe Biden has been vocal about the impact of the Supreme Court's decision on women's health, supporting individuals like Amanda Zurawski of Texas and Kaitlyn Joshua of Louisiana. These women, facing dire medical situations under restrictive abortion laws, have decided to campaign for Biden, highlighting the personal stakes involved.

Furthermore, as misinformation campaigns targeting Latino voters ramp up, efforts like those by La Campesina, a Spanish-language radio network, aim to provide accurate information on voting and election processes. This outreach underscores the importance of informed voting on critical issues, including abortion rights.

Trump, while positioning himself as a pro-life advocate, has critiqued his party's rigid stance on abortion, suggesting that inflexibility on exceptions for rape, incest, and maternal health has cost Republicans elections. His recent remarks reflect an attempt to navigate the deeply polarized opinions on abortion, proposing a consensus around a potential 15-week national ban, a position that aligns with some segments within the pro-life movement.

As the political landscape evolves, the issue of abortion rights continues to stir significant debate, with the Supreme Court's decision reshaping the battleground. This ongoing discourse highlights the complex interplay between personal beliefs, political strategy, and the legal framework governing abortion in the United States.

Except, apparently, Arizona, what they did was bad and should not be legal.

again, for the more ignorant among us, state's choice has been the Republican platform since 1972........true, I think that only the most evil among us will promote killing unborn children......however I know we will never be rid of the most evil people......the best we can do is isolate them together in small areas.....places like prisons and California......

sorry but you are wrong......Ohio would have permitted the ten year old to have an abortion......they also would have convicted and jailed her rapist......YOU are the one who didn't want that to happen......I mean, he might have been deported just for raping a ten year old.......

get serious, what difference does it make if only 1% of abortions occur in the third trimester?......what matters is that you fucks WANT abortions to be available until the moment of birth.......you cannot deny it.......you enshrined that into the Michigan state constitution.......

Except, apparently, Arizona, what they did was bad and should not be legal.

"what they did" = decide that until the legislature passes a new law the old one is still the law.......I don't know any other lawyer in the world who won't admit that MUST be legal......
