Anyone who followed this from the very beginning knew that like all trump ventures, this had the stench of scandal.Before the IPO I read several financial analysts' take on it. The CNN ones, of course, were biased against #TRE45ON. The others were not. None had much favorable to say. One even called the IPO a "Ponzi scheme." Yet fools rushed in, anyways. The ones who bought early and dumped it at the end of the first trading day did okay, although that's not a recommended investment scheme in general.
DWAC paid $18 million in fines for penalties assigned by the SEC.
As you said...pump and dumpers did well. I almost wish I opted to do just that.

Before Covid I knew people who were hired for that type of work, but typically businesses worried about productivity.
I think many workers proved that they could indeed be trusted to work from home.
In the discussion about bouncing as a fallback position for students/youth, many do exactly that in wait staff positions. In the right place during the right shift, it's not uncommon to make hundreds of dollars in tips for 4-6 hours of work.
I do know some elderly waiters/waitresses, but you're correct...it's typically not a long term business model

General consensus is that you cannot time the market. In this case, if you could make $20/$30 per share you would have been wise not to get greedy. Commoners like us could have invested $10k and earned a few grand.

A similar business model redo was after 9/11. Before 9/11 businesses sprung for last minute airline tickets (paying high dollar) and first class for their top people. After 9/11 they either had teleconferences or used low cost tickets when they realized how much money they were saving.
