No one has ever denied that there was a riot.
The lie that Americans rejected is that a riot is "insurrection." Or that this riot was anywhere on the level of CHAZ/CHOP (an actual insurrection) or pretty much any of the Floyd riots that democrats have defended.
No excuse for what? The Commander in Chief is forbidden by law from dispatching troops on US Soil. The Speaker of the House, the Senate Majority Leader, and the two Sargent At Arms (house and senate) must deploy troops at the Capitol. Pelosi turned down National Guard because the "optics" looked bad.

Yet what Trump said is 100% correct. Pelosi allowed the protests to become violent by refusing the National Guard that Trump had authorized. We know now this is because the left WANTED this to be violent. The STASI had agents in the crowd inciting violence, and the Capitol Police were ordered to violently engage peaceful protestors in order to force a violent reaction from them.

The President AUTHORIZES troops to the various leaders, Bowser in DC and Pelosi at the Capitol. Those leaders must deploy the troops. Once deployed they fall under the UMC and are under the command of the CiC. The president cannot deploy troops on US Soil.

Dinis Moreira allegedly bludgeoned 58-year-old Valerie Oakhem to death on May 26, the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office said in a press release.
Moreira reportedly called his son on May 26 and told him somebody he had an altercation with was injured and in his home.
Authorities said Moreira’s son came to the house and found Oakhem, who had suffered severe trauma to her head and face, prompting him to call the police. Bridgewater police responded soon after, and Oakhem was transported to the hospital where she was pronounced dead, authorities said.
Moreira and Oakhem were neighbors on Spring Street, the DA’s office said. Investigators said they believe the case to be a targeted act of violence....
