Trump then, Trump now ... SOS.

In all fairness, billionaires don't keep most of their wealth liquid. When they wish to make a large purchase, they get a bank loan and then pay it back at a later date by liquidating assets.

Problem with Dump is that he has a history of stiffing people, declaring bankruptcy and stringing banks along. So yeah, a bails bondsman was his logical choice.

That is the point? Nope, banks saved his fat ass. They could have wiped him out however they decided the Trump name was worth something to them, so they allowed Trump to manage apartments as long as they could put Trump's name on them. Now buildings are removing the Trump name because it is a detriment. Trump is terrible at handling money. He cannot even afford to pay his bail.

the late journalist Wayne Barrett did devastating tomes on Trump's business "genius". Essentially he was able to bluff banks and string them along with his realty plans to the point where the banks couldn't afford for him to default, so they kept funding him, assuming they would be a long term repay should his buildings make money. Con man then, con man now.

yeah and guess what......not Trump, not in prison.....so cope, you stupid lib'rul bitch......go back to your prison fantasies until your next disappointment.....

Pay attention, you dimwit.....YOU brought up an issue as if the Orange Oaf wasn't found guilty. He was and has to pay the penalties and back taxes unless he wins on appeal. READ THE DAMNED ARTICLES PRESENTED TO YOU INSTEAD OF POSTING YOUR MENTAL FLATULENCE FIRST. If he doesn't pay up in a certain time frame, he will go to jail...if he isn't convicted on the myriad of other federal & state charges first.

Got it now, bunky? Jeez! :palm:

dim bulb.......you've been promising prison for six years.......all of these conversations end where they started.....with Trump free to walk the streets and campaign for president because you just don't have evidence of a crime......cope, bitch.....cope......

I've seen too much of Trump already without playing Tacky's video,

but intelligent people have indeed been seeing through him for a long time.

Not sure whether or not that actually applies to Republican Barbara Walters.

Yes, you are a dimbulb...no need to declare it, the reading audience is already aware.

You confuse impeachment with imprisonment. Big difference...look it up.

Yes, with you intellectually impotent MAGA mooks that is true...you just keep regurgitating the SOS regardless of valid, documented facts to the contrary.

You really should pay attention to current events, my dim witted friend. The Orange Oaf can campaign and walk the streets SO LONG AS HE ABIDES BY THE PARAMETERS SET BY THE JUDGE REGARDING HIS CONDUCT. Violation will have consequences, whether state or federal. And yes there is evidence...as many of his former cohorts are now singing like birds and flipping on each other like hamburgers on a hot grill. That is why Dump's lawyers are trying to delay trial dates as long as possible. So far, it ain't working, no matter what the MAGA peanut gallery in the media parrots incessantly.

Seems your last sentence was typed while you looked at the poor schmoe in the mirror. Not surprising. Carry on.

You confuse impeachment with imprisonment.

lol....no, cuntling.....I didn't even mention impeachment....I'm talking about the fuckwits who've been posting pictures of Trump behind bars in an orange suit for six years who just didn't have what it takes to close the deal......and what it takes was evidence......sorry, you can't get around the fact you've got nothing.......

from the dim bulb's link....

Both sides emphasized that Trump was not a defendant

 Ahh, the old "out of context quote" ploy ... always used by the intellectually impotent MAGA mook when faced with information that proves them wrong.

For the honest, objective reader we have the whole article Former President Donald Trump's company is found guilty of criminal tax fraud https://www.npr.org/2022/12/06/1140...rumps-company-found-guilty-criminal-tax-fraud

And if you need indicators of the Post Modern Fools nonsense, here are some quotes he would like to deny:

--- Though Trump and his company have repeatedly faced criminal investigations, this case marks the first time his company has been charged, tried, and convicted on criminal charges.

Trump built his political brand, in large part, on his claim that he was an aggressive and successful businessman.

In all, the jury found two entities controlled by Trump guilty on 17 counts of criminal tax fraud and falsifying business records. The maximum penalty is $1.6 million.

--- Some of the most attention-grabbing evidence presented to the jury were documents with Trump's signature: a rental agreement for a luxury apartment used by Weisselberg, a private school tuition check written for a grandchild of Weisselberg's. Weisselberg admitted he did not declare these benefits as income, as required by law.

---- During his testimony, which laid out the details of his criminal tax fraud, Weisselberg acknowledged that he still receives a $640,000 salary from the Trump Organization – though he has been placed on leave – and of hopes to receive an end-of year bonus.

Now all involved bent over backwards to impress the fact that the trial was about Trump's business, not him personally. Yet the Orange Oaf has made a career of boasting what a business genius he is, and how he is in control of all major decisions.

His business, his business failure, his penalty. Deal with it, dimwit.

you use a lot of words just to prove how stupid lib'ruls are.......when you're finished, please acknowledge Trump has never served a day in jail despite all the effort you folks have put into creating crimes you think he's committed....

"cuntling" ?? What are you, 10 years old making up attempted insults? :palm:

Let me dumb it down for you, chuckles ... you said "6 years" regarding imprisonment. Well, during his one term (4 years), the Congressional hearings were to determine if his actions met the criteria for impeachment, which is removal from office and being stripped of all entitlements that office offered there of. Imprisonment of a crime (house arrest or actual jail time) can only happen to a civilian, NOT a sitting President.

Dump has now been out of office for 2 years running, so he is a private citizen, NOT a President. Those separate issues were what sane people were hoping for at those times. Got that, bunky? I hope so, because if you're stupid & stubborn enough to repeat your blather, I can't help you. Toddle down to your local high school tomorrow and ask the history teacher to explain it to you.

Check the chronology of the posts, dimwit. I never said he did. I pointed out what a dishonest business he runs and how it was convicted as such. The OP shows that Dump hasn't changed a bit in 30 years ... he was a sociopathic con man then as he is now.

that's my point, dim bulb......the chronology of the posts shows that THAT was what we were discussing......I've been mentioning the irrelevancy of your comments since you stuck your nose into the thread......so now that you finally realize it, fuck off......

Hello Tinkerpeach,

Trump was right, he turned everything around.

You all seem to miss that point, he ended up making billions after this interview.

Bull shit. He didn't turn everything around at all. His businesses failed. He only made money by selling his name to developers who actually knew how to add up costs and receipts; and getting an acting job pretending to be savvy on TV.

He thought the casinos would be OK - they all failed.

He thought the Trump shuttle would turn around - had to sell it off.

He thought Ivana would lose her lawsuit - she got millions.

Donald ran off with his mistress Marla and had to reinvent himself as an actor playing a snob. It didn't take much acting.

Trump was handed a vibrant and growing economy that Obama created after fixing Bush's near depression. Trump ultimately took credit when he did nothing to the economy until he passed a huge tax cut that overwhelmingly favored the wealthy and corporations. Trump did make the wealth gap a lot wider. If that is good to you, then you should be pleased.
Presidents are supposed to stop doing business during their terms. Trump did not. The rules and laws have never applied to him.
