I think that the executive branch is about the only one that has a power to enforce. And I think that their obligations they take, what folks call their oaths (the oath portion is where they swear and affirm, their obligations is what they swear to follow)...And you believe Jackson was correct?
I disagree, I believe specific powers were vested in each branch and under those powers they have the right to enforce them upon the other branches.
Anyway, all three branches swear to protect and uphold the constitution, which sets upon them an obligation and duty to interpret and work within the constitution. Jackson believed that he had as much authority to interpret as anyone in the Judicial Branch.
Enforcement falls to the executive branch. If it fell to all the branches we'd have a judicial police state.
