ROTFL, 28 groans from Voltaire. Can anybody say...

I feel it is a need to vilify those countries. The Saudis are just as backwards, but we can't have Americans thinking poorly of them, they buy our munitions.
Believing in something isn't the same as acting on the belief. Over 50% of Americans believe in the death penalty, and probably the highest percentage is conservative Christians. And before you tell me it's not the same, we are talking about what two different cultures consider as crimes.
How about showing some numbers comparing belief vs. action?
Me in denial, lol. I notice you omitted these sections from the article. It's why I think you're so dishonest.
"In the other predominantly Muslim countries surveyed – Turkey, Lebanon and Indonesia – most Muslims oppose these measures."
"In contrast, Muslims in Lebanon, Turkey and Indonesia largely reject the notion that harsh punishments should be the law in their countries. About three-quarters of Turkish and Lebanese Muslims oppose the stoning of people who commit adultery (77% and 76%, respectively), as does a narrower majority (55%) of Muslims in Indonesia."
"Opposition to whippings and cutting off of hands for crimes like theft and robbery and to the death penalty for people who leave Islam is even more widespread in these three countries; 86% of Muslims in Lebanon, 82% in Turkey and 61% in Indonesia are against making harsh punishments for robbery and theft the law in their countries, and 93%, 91% and 64%, respectively, object to the death penalty against those who leave the Muslim religion."
"The Qur'an itself does not prescribe any earthly punishment for apostasy
Are you asking for the data on how many former Muslims are executed for leaving the faith?
And just what is your point ?
....50 % of Americans not only believe in the death penalty,.... but where the liberals don't go bat shit crazy protesting, when the
execution date arrives, we carry it though to protect society and for justice for murdered victim....
Are you actually comparing the death sentence for murderers in the west, equal to death for leaving the Muslim religion anywhere in the world?
Of course we're talking about different cultures.....practically speaking, a civilized culture compared to a barbaric culture....death for leaving the faith is the least of their barbarism.....don't just ignore the mutilation, enslavement, the methods of punishment, the injustice for being a victim, lack of basic human rights, etc.....
The culture must be evaluated as a whole, not just in apostasy.
We're not talking about the Qur'an.....nice try at topic change though....
We are talking about the reality of what is happening within the culture.
What I find really interesting is the countries who weren't polled or listed in their lsts! I wonder why Baharin, Saudi and other Muslim countries weren't listed in their lists!!!!! I find this very telling!

why does it matter? even if every other country polled responded with "We believe everyone should have hugs and rainbows" that still leaves you with 20% of muslims that believe you should be killed merely for leaving their faith. Not an extremist fringe group. Not a paltry number. A very sizable chunk of muslims. Very dangerous number too.
Why does it matter, I would think you would not be one of those that needed this explained, I am disappointed.
They are no more dangerous than the nutty Christians who believe that abortion clinics and Muslim countries need to be bombed off the face of the Earth, or that homosexuals should be put to death.
Crazy people with Crazy religious ideas are just that, crazy people with crazy ideas, religion is just a tool to spread their hate.

.
I already took into account the small number of muslims, in say Turkey, that believed in death for apostasy. There is no escaping the facts that I posted.
seriously whenever I want to feel smarter, I just argue with rana and christie. It's like shooting fish in a barrel. The words just flow from my fingertips. I barely even have to try. It's that easy.

It's really funny the lengths these liberals will go to defend such a violent and hateful religion. If I posted a long diatribe on how bad christians are, I have no doubt in my mind it would have been thanked by christie, darla, and rana.
I think for a lot of people, criticizing christians is just a roundabout way of putting down redneck idiots. (which I also love to do) but when you push them to criticize other religions in the world, they recoil in fear. Afterall, "the rednecks hate the brown people! "I have to go for the second option bias and defend a violent oppressive religion because I cant agree with the conservative idiots in our country!"
it's pathetic and sad. 20% of all muslims believe in death for merely leaving their faith. Unlike cultural views on various laws and crime and punishment, the death for apostasy is directly tied to their personal views on religion, and directly reflects how intolerant they are for others leaving their faith.
1 out of 5. That's like every family having 1 member that believes that shit. All over the world.
I am glad I make you feel superior, although, I fail to see why, your arguments usually end in this fashion, you claiming victory for yourself, when there really is no proof you even showed up to debate.
So many of them do that! Bravs and his constant refrain of "schooling" us, ILA and his gloating that he nobody can refute his points, etc. It's just so childish.
