Guns

Yep, only to be outdone by 19 third world countries. Honduras, Venezuala, El Salvador, Guyana. What a laughable argument.
Yet another demonstration that there are factors other than gun control laws that have far more influence. Also a demonstration that strict gun control laws, such as all of those 19 countries have, don't work. Perhaps it's time that you started looking for something that would work? But your obsession with guns won't allow that.

Really? Guns suppress violent crime? What fucking fantasy world do you live in?
Violent criminals tend to look for other lines of work when their victims might be armed. I live in the real world, not your fantasy world. What gun control law has ever been demonstrated to have made things better?

Spare me your make believe “if/would” bullshit.

When was the last time you saw a shooting with a machine gun?
I, like most Americans, have never seen a shooting of any kind, except on TV or in the movies.

There are plenty of ways to kill people besides guns, but not many ways that are as effective for personal defense. People kill, not guns. Arson and bombs kill quite effectively. The opposition to guns is based on ignorance and paranoia, not reason.

Sometimes the gun is not the best weapon for the purpose, even for self defense. Guns do make a general good choice for it though. You are quite right. People kill, not guns. Gun control laws only aid criminals, who don't care about the law.

The reason they don't work is a simple one. The free market. You can't kill the free market, even if you drive it underground. Every drug dealer knows this. They sell guns, too, where there is a black market for them. All gun control laws do is create black markets. It doesn't stop people from obtaining guns.

Shootings happen every day at every shooting range, every hunting spot, etc. WHAT is being shot is another story.

As far as killing people with a machine gun, this sort of thing happens in every war zone. It also happens occasionally in civilian life. I believe the last one that made the big news was one in southern California, where such guns are 'illegal'.

More evidence of your obsession with guns. It doesn't matter how many people are killed. All that matters is that they're being killed with guns.

Which is where the cherry picking occurs. This renders the argument invalid, since cherry picking like this is a fallacy.

Are you fucking illiterate?

Nowhere near what YOU are displaying. You are cherry picking to support a circular argument. You first decide to argue against guns because guns are 'bad'. Then you pick only homicides from guns (ignoring the reason for the homicide, which may involve self defense) to support your circular argument. You are attempting to prove a circular argument. That in and of itself is a fallacy. It's what a fundamentalist does.
