The word ‘favor’ is most commonly used as a polite form of speech. You don’t ‘politely’ pressure someone unless you’re using ‘favor’ sarcastically. And there was no evidence of sarcasm anywhere else in the transcript. Trump basically gave *a litany of things* the US has done for Ukraine and followed by politely asking for some investigations as a ‘favor’——*in return* for what has been done for your country.
Sort of like ‘we’ve done this for you, so can you do this for us this favor’. That’s literally all there is to it. It’s no wonder Zelensky was unaware of any pressure—THERE WASN’T ANY!

In order for America to move on from this scandal, a precedent must be established now at this time.
Either it is acceptable to Americans to have a president abuse the powers of the president, extort other foreign government leaders, while witholding funds approved by Congress and paid for by the taxpayers, to be used as ransom- OR IT IS NOT ACCEPTABLE.
If there is no recourse- future presidents including this one will attempt to do it again and again.
Since bribary and extortion are crimes, and a president cannot be indicted for crimes while in office, the only recourse allowed by the Constitution is IMPEACHMENT.
IMPEACHMENT will set a precedent and is a win/win for both parties. As Republicans don't want future Democrat presidents to be allowed to do this, and Democrats do not want Republican presidents to do this- and we have a current Republican President that will do this over and over again if he is not held accountable for doing it in the first place.

Records proved the delay in funds was over 55 days long and renewed by the corrupt state fund department every 6 days- according to US State Department Budget Office records and official documents used as evidence in this case..
