Time To Recognize Who We Are; Reunite America

Her name is on the Tweet for crying out loud lol.

And she has a good point: for four years, Trump supporters were subjected to be called racists, xenophobes, Nazis etc etc. And now, Democrats are asking for unity.

Maybe we aren’t feeling it.

And enough with pinning the hatred and divisiveness on Trump and his supporters. YOUR SIDE has been out in the streets all summer rioting, looting, throwing bricks at people, shooting cops and etc, all over the fact some folks ‘have the gall’ to disagree with them.

We/they aren’t playing that game anymore.

I expect that PoliTalker saw the name, Megyn Kelly, on the tweet.

Just his pontificating and an attempt to control a poster.

Hello Darth,

I would say enough of blaming all Democrats for what a few people have done. They do not represent the whole party.

There are voices on both sides saying enough of the infighting among Americans.

That is not helping our nation.

The best thing we can do for America is to turn a page and begin a new chapter. We have to give peace a chance. This is the time.

It is not going to be total Democratic rule. We get that. Your party is well represented. Stop dwelling on the past. Look forward. It is time for find our future together.

Not one Democrat spoke up for ten months when the rioting, looting, burning, assaults and murders were happening. Dementia Biden only spoke once he saw that it was hurting him in the polls.

Trump supporters were assaulted in the streets and in restaurants.

Forget...oh Hell no!

It is very sad to see so many Republicans so determined to destroy any American unity in their desperate attempts to retain power. I listened a recording of Mr Biden from way back in 1987 on Radio 4 last night, entranced: after four years of that fat, strutting, posturing clown Trump, an ordinary decent human being was like the end of a dreadful nightmare. Congratulations, American friends, and welcome back to the human world!

To those who would wish to continue blaming the other side I would ask: what do you hope to accomplish with that?

The election has shown we are a nation with two different sides, two different sets of beliefs.

The election has shown that neither side has any hope of taking complete control and minimizing the other side.

We are going to be sharing this nation and neither side is going away.

How do we move forward?

The best thing we can do is let bye gones be bye gones and try to govern ourselves together with a divided government.

For that, we need meaningful communication, not name-calling nor insults.

Our challenge is to learn to respect each other for what we are.

Will you say this BS if the election is overturned by the Supreme Court and President Trump remains president?

Hell no you won't. The riots will increase.

your own statement shows why it will never happen. you claim you want mutual respect and unity, yet also claim to want to minimize the other side........as if that minimization will silence them and force them to conform to the other sides political bent and will........

no amount of meaningful communication or lack of name calling is going to allow that. the last 20 years of bitter antagonism between left and right has created an inflamed infection that will ultimately result in the death of the victim......

Thank you.

Obviously we accomplished something; but we still have much to do.

We took a step in the right direction, and that is cause for hope.

It was sad to see so many Democrats wanting to tear apart the country because of their hate for one man. Now, they want everyone to play nice and forget. Fuck them.

The nightmare is starting. A senile old bastard and a fucking wannabe nigger whore isn't the way to go.

Horse mierda, the Nazi from Wales does not speak for America or Americans.

A step in the right direction would require you to apologize for cheering when millions of Americans and their families suffered economic loss in the stock market due to the virus from China that China failed to contain.

again, proving my point, you think/believe that only YOUR side is the way to greatness.........megalomania is rarely a good thing

We are at a point in our history where optimism could very well be the first sign of dementia.
I'm very serious about that.
Pollyanna Syndrome is right now more deadly than covid--by a huge margin.

You don't force people who, with good reason, truly loathe one another, to live in the same house.

That forced the Soviet Union to disband.

That forced Yugoslavia to disband.

That forced Czechoslovakia to disband.

Apparently ALL of those nations were a hell of a lot smarter than we are.

We're still trying to survive as a dysfunctional union, and we're failing miserably.

My disgust continues despite the removal of the diseased orangutan. We still have Moscow Mitch and the ever-more-fascist SCOTUS,
all because we think fervent enemies can live in the same house.
I honestly believe that Americans don't want to live peacefully.
If they did, they'd recognize the best way to do it...and they very clearly don't.
Instead, they perpetuate the misery and insanity of the obsolete and dysfunctional 50-state model.

Were there Republicans rioting in the streets with the anarchists, BLM and ANTIFA?

I don't think so.

Were Republicans assaulting Biden supporters?

I don't think so.

What I am getting is that a lot of people want to blame the other side for our problems.

That doesn't pass the sniff test.

We are a nearly equally divided nation.

Whatever we are is a product of both of our halves.

Blaming and finger-pointing is not going to solve anything.

Name-calling accomplishes nothing.

We have to have a truce.

We just had an election. We had our say in who should run our government.

The results are mixed. And there is dispute about the outcome. That will be resolved and we will have one president. That president will be Joe Biden unless something extraordinary happens, which is extremely unlikely.

Our challenge is to look forward not back. We have to recognize who we are and figure out how to live together in peace.

Each side will have their say in what we do.

Each side needs to give up on silencing the other side.

Yes we have our differences. We also have a lot in common, and it is time for us to remember that and start talking about what we can and should do together.
