If you're talking about the Trump movement then I agree. Downhill is the only place all this Trump fervor is going. There are now only three kinds of Trump supporters. Those who have given up on him, those who are going to, and those who will remain completely out of touch with reality and cling to something that is not real. The movement will die. Trump and Qanon will become synonymous. The rest of society will not think of them highly.

Nobody who wasn't already a Trump supporter is going to become one now. That movement is going to bleed support until the only hangers-on will be kooky people like Roger Stone hanging on to Nixon.

Agree. To your latter point, I'm hoping that the media will resist the temptation to whore themselves out again for the ratings. The nation should go trump silent, save for Fox who will always be his safe space.

I'm quite sure there was never a 'reaching out' to anyone but his base. In fact, all of his rhetoric attacked those 'who didn't vote for ' him.

Many years ago these words of wisdom were shared with me re. my adolescent stepson and the one black sheep in his group of friends.

"4 good kids and 1 bad kid easily turns into a gang".

Good kids would never dream of committing certain acts. Once the seed is sown, anything can happen. trump sowed those seeds as far back as December when the announced the rally, and said 'it's going to be wild'.

What the fuck did he think was going to happen?

There is good money to be made off sensationalizing his stupidity & evil, not sure they'll go along w/ that very far....

Could we even do that here??

I mean go an entire day or three +/- w/ no trump threads, not replying to any trump threads & no mention of said villain in any conversation??

Or even reference to him w/ his usual accolades, the beast, the liar, the con man, the loser, the big fail etc etc etc........

Would be tough but we did it before he was around.........

Wrong. Those were Republicans who rejected trumpism. Voting Republican has nothing to do with trump's policies. No nationalist will get trump's base. They're his, and he isn't interested in sharing. Without his nonsensical rhetoric, these people crawl back under their rocks and never vote again. They never voted before trump.

I believe that most Republicans who cowered under trump's reign will now return to standard Republican politics and never utter trump's name again. The small handful of delusional trumpists in Congress will be disregarded.

trump voters don't vote if he isn't on the ballot. They certainly won't come out to vote for trump supporting Republicans. They didn't in Ga. earlier this week.

Discussion of trump is a bit different. I do see the media covering his crimes and court cases, though. We're going to find that he was much worse than the media knew once the 'classified' crimes are unclassified. He did a good job of hiding everything by falsely classifying his crimes on top secret servers.

He's destroyed documentation of same. We just learned that there was a previous phone call to Ga. in order to change the election results. There are volumes of things to be learned.


I just want the media to go radio silent on trump's daily barrage of garbage, which won't be hard given the aforementioned.

I've been thinking that every day since November. Can you imagine? He was emboldened after the Senate refused to hold an impeachment trial. With no care about re election, he would quite possibly have destroyed the entire world.

Failure is the only thing that he's ever succeeded at. Ironically, in the '16 election as well.

There seems to be less trump after about a week after the election & up till his recent rally to incite the attack on the capital & fleck his political muscle & show the political leaders he has "tuff" friends ready to die for him.............

In a few days Biden will have a few more than he does, as well as every governor in every state...

trump went silent as he was suffering depression after being soundly rejected. He regained his composure and remembered that he laid the groundwork in July for a campaign of voter suppression claims, and the noise began again.


Remember...he was calling for the election to be called on election night, weeks before the election.

But yea...it was nice and quiet for a while.
