Hello Darth,
There is no such rule. Give this incident time to really sink in. We have just witnessed a defining moment in history. Another Day of Infamy. I don't think it can be brushed off quite so easily. 1812 and 2021 now have something in common. The only two times the Capitol was overrun in a siege. The honorable United States of America Senator Cory Booker pointed out the similarities of the attackers quite eloquently:
“The parallel between the two is they were both waving flags to a sole sovereign, to an individual, surrendering democratic principle to the cultic personality,” Booker said. “One was a monarch in England and the other, with all the flags I saw all over the Capitol, including in the hallways and in this room, to a single person named Donald Trump.”
If you're talking about the Trump movement then I agree. Downhill is the only place all this Trump fervor is going. There are now only three kinds of Trump supporters. Those who have given up on him, those who are going to, and those who will remain completely out of touch with reality and cling to something that is not real. The movement will die. Trump and Qanon will become synonymous. The rest of society will not think of them highly.
Nobody who wasn't already a Trump supporter is going to become one now. That movement is going to bleed support until the only hangers-on will be kooky people like Roger Stone hanging on to Nixon.
