We know it was CYA. It is a common human condition and some of us will have the high dollars lawyers to get us off and others will have their appointed prosecutor and that my friend is a free Republic.

I believe all of us on here have our own feelings and I don't know their motivation, maybe she likes to point out the absurd from the other angle?

as i said previously......what about his friends....he didn't call the authorities and neither did his friends or family.....so the head injury shock thing is total and complete pile of freshly baked meadowmuffins

He didn't go for help. In fact he didn't even call anybody until the next day when he could do it sober. He actually rode in somebody's car spoke to people and then slept a full night. You can't say he forgot that there was a girl in the car, he supposedly tried to swim down there a few times.

However believing that he was incapable of actually calling for help is. There are a great many people who have bumped their heads and have been in shock that were still capable of simply telling people they run into what happened.

I've yet to see even one. There is a reason we are called to accidents on the Fire Department, and it isn't because people suddenly forget to tell people what happened to them.

I suppose it is possible, but that wouldn't change what would have happened to me if I had pulled this stunt. Not just the fact that I would have been in prison for a looooong time, but in fact the internal suffering would be even worse knowing that I could have at the very least have told somebody I met along the way.

It wouldn't change what would happen to me if i pulled the stunt, either. We have all seen cases of the rich and famous getting treatment the rest of us don't.

It pisses me off, but what are we going to do about it?

I think he actually got near to the maximum. I do know that the company I work for would not hire me back when I got out.

I know, you would think it would be the opposite, they would be slammed harder because they are such high profile people, but it doesn't go that way!

I don't know the solution, I just know that it is a problem and when my kids cause trouble, I made them own up. It is all I could do for society. I was just lucky my children were never in any serious trouble, just minor incidences!

He was in shock and had a head injury.

These are medical conditions.

It is a comman behavior to slip into a state of denial in shock
