Trump-Stormy Daniels settlement at heart of potential NY DA indictment didn't violate

Ya he is not a lawyer. He has heard a defense given on Fox or Newsmax or one of those type shows and fell for it as he does not understand the law.

He truly believes lawyers can simply pay personally any settlement amount to any third party and then just get that money back as "Attorney fees".

He truly believes this is a thing..

Person 1 has to pay off and silence person 2, $1MM and would be required to disclose it or he breaks the law, and does not want to. No problem. The lawyer can just pay it personally, and then give you a bill for 'attorney fees' to cover the amount and his expenses in doing so and like magic, Person 1 is prevented from having to disclose it and did not break the law.

That is what he believes and he thinks he is making some killer point, as it made sense to him when they said it on Newsmax.
If a expense would have been paid even if the candidate was not running the expense is NOT considered a campaign expense by the FEC. Trump would have paid the NDA with Daniels regardless of the election to prevent Melania and his family from finding out. Trump also did not want the public embarrassment and damage to the Trump Brand. So the payment wasn't a FEC violation. You are just desperate.

so Bragg should be removed from office?......

Up to the State of NY to decide. Why is this so difficult for you to understand?

Do you support Trump's call for violence should he be indicted?
Moral support, that is. I know you won't be leaving your keyboard to help. :)

Trump does have a penchant for "settling out of court" and trying to buy his way out of pickles he gets himself into. I remember another president who likewise wanted to bust a nut and did so in the Oval Office. Then he lied about it. I am pretty sure he was lying for the exact same reasons as Trump wanted to cover up his affair with a sex worker while his 3rd wife was home taking care of their newborn child. The fun thing about the Clinton case was that he was effectively prosecuted for getting a blowjob. He only lied AFTER the investigation went there.

When Trump set out to become President it kind of changed how he could use his wealth. It put guardrails on how he functioned. And if you are right and he feared damage to the Trump brand, well that sounds exactly like someone trying to hide wrongdoing in an election cycle..

More importantly: given that Trump had already cheated on every single other wife he had, is it reasonable to assume he REALLY cared what Melania thought? He was busy having unprotected sex with a sex worker while Melania was taking care of Donald's NEWEST BABY.

I am struggling to see why Trump is on the side of the Angels while Clinton was a dirty dog.

Trump has not called for violence, he has predicted violence if he is falsely arrested.

Violence is just swell when done by the far left BLM and ANTIFA loons.

Both are reprehensible acts.

Clinton did his while in the White House, which put national security at risk...blackmail.

Agreed that both are reprehensible. That was my whole point.

As far as Clinton being open to "blackmail" for doing the deed in the Oval with an intern, well I suspect he was already liable to blackmail from any number of other women. :)

You mean that Democrat? Yeah Clinton lied under oath and tried to get Monica and others to lie and obstruct justice . He is the Democrat that didtyhat. Trump would never be as dumb as that Democrat.

So you are excusing perjury and obstruction of justice. :okjen:

I agree it was morally wrong but it was not illegal. I elected him for his policy not for his morals in his marriage. That is between him and Melania IMHO.

I agree it was morally wrong. Melania shouldn't have expected any more from him given his track record with his other wives. Hillary attacked the women that Bill had sexually abuse even though she knew Bill had sexually abused them. I don't see her as morally superior to Trump. I didn't elect Trump for his morals I elected him for his policy. If I was looking for morals I would have wanted Billy Graham Jr. to run or maybe Jimmy Carter.

As I explained Clinton went after women that she knew Bill had sexually abused and she paid for a Russia collusion and tried to hied it as "legal expenses".

What Clinton did was done in the People’s House. Many of us resent this. If a sitting president wants a blow job, let him go to a back alley in DC.

It matters not when someone lies under oath.

You miss my point: I think Clinton should have been prosecuted the full extent of the law for lying. But remember WHY he lied...it was because he wanted to hide a blowjob.

I also expect Trump to be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

I make no distinction based on party. That's for the Trump supporters who gave him an addition $1.5million after he announced he was going to be arrested.

Irrelevant. He committed a crime to hide another crime; sexual assault of Paula Flowers. By committing perjury, he was attempting to both hide his infidelity from his wife and, more importantly, hiding a pattern of sexual predation.

Mr. Tiny Penis, I know this is a silly question but, gotta link?
