I don't think the moral and spiritual value of the bible depends on proving literal or historical accuracy; I don't think that's even close to being the most important thing about the bible. Wow, is that what you think is important about it?

I brought up DAY not DATE. If you were educated on the Bible, you would have known I wasn't referencing a DATE when taking about Jesus' death. You would have known that a reference to a specific DAY would be a reference Passover.
Again... that's IF you were educated and not just a troll.

And? Prove that his stories and the characters in the stories aren't real. He may think they are fiction, but how do you know he wasn't divinely inspired by one of the gods he's writing about?

The Word, as originally given and recorded, is inerrant.
However, subsequent translations of The Word into all the different languages have introduced some errors here and there. The main message of "Creation, The Fall, Redemption, and Restoration" has been maintained throughout the ages.
No they don't. They all have him dying on the day before the Sabbath (hence the records about breaking the legs of the criminals so that they'd die faster so that all the "clean up work" could be completed before the Sabbath arrived).

It's more problematic for a CHRISTIAN to be espousing such views. Christians are exhorted to judge not lest they be judged and really at the end of the day the ONLY person who sits at the Right hand of the Father to come to judge the quick and the dead is Jesus. So I'm uncertain why the poster is seemingly gilding the lily to promise all manner of horrors visited upon the blasphemer as if they should even WANT that let alone seem to take such glee in rattling the threat saber.
The other irony is that God seems to like Eastern Religions enough to plug KARMA into His world.

Characters like John the Baptist, Herod, Pontius Pilate, Jesus' brother James were real people.
I doubt the bible is considered light reading or entertainment. But the bible helped keep literacy alive in Western Europe during the dark ages, and the bible is largely responsible for the evolution of German, Russian, English into sophisticated literary languages. So I don't think the historical and cultural significance of the bible can be denied.

I totally hear ya!Given how even a time period as short as a few hours within a single day can sometimes "feel like an eternity", let alone over 75 years worth of time (aka "a lifetime"), the whole "imminent" thing can seem rather laughable. I mean, how long have the warmizombies been screaming about various disasters being "imminent" (yet never actually coming to pass)?
I also realize that all sorts of different things could be considered as being "imminent", such as Santa Claus popping out from around the corner. I mean, Santa Claus hasn't popped out from around the corner YET, but at any given moment in time, Santa Claus COULD suddenly pop out from around the corner before suddenly disappearing again.
Time in and of itself is a rather intriguing thing. At some moments, a few short hours can "feel like an eternity", dragging on and on and on, yet at other moments, a whole lifetime (say, 75 years) can pass by and feel like "a few short hours" (where the heck did all that time go?!?!).
In any event, my personal conjecture re: the "signs of the times" is that Jesus will return for his Church [Revelation 3:10] sometime between now and a few short years from now (IOW, sometime during the 2020s), with his triumphant 'second coming' upon the Earth [Revelation 19] (with The Church, where all peoples will see and hear him) happening sometime during the 2030s.
Honestly, I'm thankful that God has "tarried" as long as he has because it's given me an opportunity to learn how I, for much of my life, actually haven't been "the Christian" that I thought I was. You could call it something similar to "Christian In Name Only". Maybe not quite to that extent, but much closer to that than being a Christian "in action".
